Chp 22

Ruhanika Pov

The week passed in no time. I am still conscious of my movements. Becoz, it hurts like hell with sudden movement. I have also started walking with help of someone. I feel so pathetic not to be able to do even a small thing without anyone's help, becoz basically I was all by myself when Abhay was not there and never dependent on anyone else.

All Abheer ji's family members are here today coz guess what? I'm finally meeting my baby today!! She is going to be in my arms! I'm so excited yet nervous. Others are also looking so happy.

After sometime Abheer ji enetered and I froze looking at him.

My baby!!!

Tears started falling from my eyes yet I was having the biggest smile on my face. Others face also brightened seeing my baby. Abheer ji brought her and leaned towards me and showed her to me,"Our princess!!" He said.

I gently touched her cheeks and she opened her eyes. She looked at me and kept staring at me with her so adorable dow eyes as if asking me to take her in my arms.

I brought my hands forward hastily to take her without realizing that my one arm is fractured. I screamed with the pain shooting my side. Tears of pain started falling.

"Ruhanika!!"
"Beta!!" Everyone yelled.

"Ruhi! Be careful..." Abheer ji said with worry in his voice. My eyes were closed  tightly because of pain and that's when we heard a little whimper.

Everybody's gaze moved towards the sound and I too opened my eyes only to see heartbreaking sight in front of me.
My baby's lips quivered and she was about to cry as I didn't hold her. She started crying and Abheer ji started calming her. My tears fell. I can't even hold my baby let alone calm her down.
Maasa came towards me and younger clan was around Abheer ji trying to calm my baby down.

"Don't cry beta. She is here now, so why are you crying?"

"I'm a bad mother maasa. I can't even hold her, let alone comfort her when she is crying. I'm a bad mother maasa." I cried on her chest when she hugged me.

"There is nothing like that beta, don't think like that beta. Everything will be fine. These are just a tough fase of life. They will fade away soon. Don't let it down your spirit." Dadisa said.

Maasa got up when Abheer ji came with my now non-crying baby.

"Come on, she wants to be held by her maasa." He said trying to cheer me up.

He sat on my left side not hurting my arm. He adusted her in my right arm and his left arm still holding her to support my hand and baby. His right hand supporting my shoulder.
I feel so content having her in my arms. And my water works begin.

Author Pov

Little did they know Reyan and Abhiraj secretly clicked their picture.

(I can only find this picture guys where man is sitting on left. Others were either on the right or kissing. And we know that our Abheer and Ruhanika are still not on that stage....😅😅)

Adhiraj came forward seeing Ruhanika again crying and patted her head.

"Har khushi ke moke mein aasu nahi bahate, beta. Hasise bhi kaam chal jata hai." He said wiping her tears and others chuckled at his comment.
He then lovingly kissed her forehead and Ruhanika felt so loved at that moment she gave him her biggest grin ever.

(Not every happy is needed to be completed with tears. Smiles works too.)

Reyan commented slowly to the younger clan,

"Whoa... The old hitler is getting all soft and cozy. What a sight to see!!" The younger clan snickered at his comment.

"Did you say something Reyan?" Adhiraj asked daringly raising his eyebrows at him. Reyan stuttered,
"Not...nothing dadasa, what did I say?" He said with nervous smile and others controlled their laughter.

"Next time you're calling me old hittler, I'm literally whipping your ass." Reyan's face paled hearing him and everyone burst into laughter.
Adhiraj again turned towards Abheer and Ruhanika.

"Now, can I hold her? I am waiting for way too long?" He asked her and Ruhanika nodded and kissed her cheeks before Abheer gave her.

Gayatri came towards him and the couple held the baby together. They were having happy tears in their eyes seeing their great grandchild.
One by one everyone held the baby. Abhiraj was busy capturing this moments in his camera he bought specially for today, so he was the last one to carry her and Reyan clicked photos for him.

After sometime when baby was on Ruhanika's lap, she started crying. She tried to calm her down but she didn't stop crying.

"Ma..maasa look na what happened to her?" Ruhanika said with cracking voice. Her eyes filled with tears seeing her daughter not calming down.

I'm telling you guys, she is emotional freak sometimes and can cry on even any small thing!!

Meera came towards her and said, "She must be hungry Ruhanika." Meera said.

And Ruhanika started sobbing thinking how will she feed her when she cannot even hold her,
"How am I su..supposed t...to do that? I can't even hold her!" Abheer's heart ached seeing her pain and tears.

"Don't worry beta. I will help you" Meera turned, "Guys you should get going I guess."

Everyone nodded and started going out except ladies. Abheer wanted to stay but he knew, there is still time where they will be this comfortable around each other.

Meera opened her hospital gown buttons after taking her permission to the same. She sat beside her and held the babygirl and give her nipple in her mouth. The baby immediately stopped crying and latched to it sucking it.

Ruhanika was still sobbing thinking about something caressing her baby's head.

"What happened now beta you are still crying? Baby is her having her meal now. What is it that worrying you so much?" Niharika asked patting her back to calm her.

"How am I gonna manage it all alone when I get discharged? I can't even help myself. How am I going to manage her?" She said crying.
Others felt sad seeing her condition.

"Who said you are alone?" Dadisa asked, Ruhanika looked at her confused.

"You have us now. You are coming with us to Rathore Mansion and staying there till you want go, but not before you get totally healthy." Dadisa said.

"Bu..but, how can I come with you dadisa? I am basically stranger to you guys." I asked shocked.

"No, you are not, mam. I know you and you know me and bhaisa too. So you can stay with us." Aishu said and Aditi agreed with her.

"She is right, and I'm not taking no as an answer. You are just like our Aditi and Aishu. And we all will be there to help you with the baby and will take care of you too. You will recover this way sooner as your body will be not stressed with much work." Dadisa said.

Meera took the baby and wiped her mouth keeping her on Ruhanika's lap when she saw baby slept and helped Ruhanika buttoning her hospital gown.

"But still, my baby and I cannot be burden to you, when you all were there for me since day 1."

"How can you say that beta, that this little gudiya will be a burden? I guess, you are going to listen to only Abheer, we should ask him only, what say maasa?" Niharika said. Ruhanika's eyes widened hearing her.

"Yes, Adu go call Abheer inside." Meera said.

Ruhanika tried to stop her but Aditi waa already out.

"Maasa, there is no need really. Why calling Abheer ji for this?" Ruhanika said.

The ladies just shrugged at her and at the same time Abheer and Aditi entered.

"You are getting discharged tomorrow. We will leave for palace at 11.00" Abheer declared as soon as he came in.

"But Ab...."Abheer cut her off.
"Yes, Ruhi. Do you have something to say?" Abheer asked in not so soft voice looking at her with raised eyebrows.

Ruhanika looked down knowing he will not listen to her and muttered a small no.

Everyone smiled at her pouting face.
Abheer's heart just skipped a beat looking at her serene beautiful face, her chubby cheeks and those luscious kissable lips.

Others left at evening except Reyan and Abheer. Abheer and Ruhanika were sitting on the couch after their walking session as her lower abdomen started hurting a little due to her stitches. Reyan was standing by her crib.
Reyan didn't get his time with baby so he stayed for sometime more.

"Hi, princess. I'm your kakasa. You are so beautiful." He kissed her cheeks.

"Once we go home, I will take you to my play station. We will play games there. We will even make you a big doll house for you to play." He told her excitedly as if she was understanding.

"She can't play now, Reyan bhaisa. I wonder even whether she is understanding you or not." Ruhanika said with a chuckle.

While Reyan just froze hearing that one word from her mouth.
Ruhanika looked at his froze state and realized what she said.

"Umm... I...I'm so..sorry, Reyan ji. I didn't reali....." Before she can complete her sentence, Reyan softly embraced her keeping his head on her right shoulder.
Ruhanika felt somthing wet and her doubt got confirmed when she heard him sobbing. She just caressed her back without asking any questions, to calm him.

After somtime, he broke the hug and held her hand in between his both, tears still streaming from his eyes.

"Thank you so much, Ruhanika, thank you so much for calling me bhaisa. I want to be your bhaisa. I promise you to protect you from every danger that come in your way. Just start calling me bhaisa from now on." Reyan said.

Ruhanika smiled hearing him and her own eyes started filling with tears.

Told yaa.

She wiped his tears and said,
"What else will I call my bhaisa, other than bhaisa?" He smiled hearing her.

"Thank you so much for the promise and you better be ready to bear me. I can be a tough sister to handle." She said with a playful smile. Abheer and Reyan just chuckled.

"Definitely!!" Reyan said and kissed her forehead.

Abheer just smiled at the pure exchange of emotions in front of him.

Well, Reyan was a single child ignored by his parents in childhood. So he lived with Abheer in their house. His family accepted him with open arms and now he is an integral part of this family. He had a great bond with Ayaan and Abhiraj like brothers, but he never had the bond of brother - sister with Aishu and Aditi like he wanted.

From day one he met Ruhanika, he always saw his sister he never had in her. These feelings increased in all days he spent with her in his visits to hospital. And, now she accepting him as her bhaisa made him emotional all of a sudden. He can never be this happy.

This was the best day of Ruhanika's life!!!
