"Call her doctor home, Reyan"
"There is no need Abheer ji." Ruhanika said.

"Yes, I'm seeing how you are still wincing every now and then." Abheer said glaring at her that made her shut her mouth.

"Do you want something till doctor come?" Abheer asked but before Ruhanika answer, baby started crying due to hunger.

"I guess she is hungry." Abheer said rocking the baby. Ruhanika nodded.
Abheer kept the baby in her lap.

"I'll send maasa."

Abheer left the room.
A painful sigh left her mouth feeling pain all over her body but she kept patting the baby's head to calm her.

She so wants to take her princess in her embrace but is unable to. Seeing her baby crying to be in her arms is tearing her heart. Tears started filling her eyes all over again but she controlled seeing Meera entering the room.

Meera held the baby and make her latch on Ruhanika's right boob. The breastfeeding in early days is really painful. She will need time to get adjust to this pain.
In between when baby was getting fed, she moved her legs and it resulted in kick on Ruhanika's broken hand.
A loud yell left Ruhanika's mouth making Meera immediately hold the baby's leg. Tears left Ruhanika's eyes due to pain.

Her body was already in so much pain and now it is becoming unbearable for her to control it.

Meera immediately put the baby on bed because baby was done feeding.

"Beta lay down, it will help relax your muscles." Meera said helping her to lay.
"Maasa, it's paining t...too much." Ruhanika said crying.

Meera's eyes started filling with tears listening her words. She immediately called Abheer not knowing what to do.

Abheer entered the room,
"Yes, maa...." He stopped in between looking at Ruhanika crying.

"What happened maasa, why are you crying, Ruhanika?" Abheer said sitting beside her when Meera got up.

"While fee....feeding, the baby accidentally ki...kicked her left arm. When the doctor is coming?" When he looked towards Meera, he saw tears falling from her eyes too.

Abheer looked at Ruhanika with eyes full of concern and worry.

"Don't worry doctor is on way, she must be coming." Abheer said caressing Ruhanika's head.

On cue Reyan and Niharika entered with doctor. They both were shocked seeing Ruhanika and Meera crying.

"What happened maasa? Why are you crying?" Reyan asked going towards Meera wiping Meera's tears.

"I'll tell you but let doctor first check her. She is hurt and her body is aching with pain." Abheer said standing up from his place.

Doctor immediately sat beside her and examined her hand and ankle.
Due to crying so much, Ruhanika was having headache now. Seeing her crying and frowning so much, doctor gave her sedative to make her sleep.
In the meantime, Niharika made the baby sleep in her cradle.

After a while

Doctor got up turning towards them. They were standing silently till she was checking Ruhanika.

"It seems like she has applied pressure on her both fractures. Her foot is swollen again. You should have been careful she doesn't do anything like this. She is in so pain that we can't even imagine. It is like someone have stabbed again on one's stab wound or may be much more worse.

She is strictly needing a bed rest now at least a week. Doctor sighed
Hukum sa, you should have been more attentive. She just gave birth that too through c-section. Her case was so complicated that she almost went into cardiac arrest during the surgery. Her health was improving but again this happened. Please take good care of her, her body cannot bear this much pain during postpartum phase." Doctor said in very disappointed voice.

They 4 stood their frozen hearing her.

My chubby cheeks almost went into ca...cardiac arrest!!
Abheer thought shocked.

"I'll give her some medicines and oils for her foot massage. Give her nice warm bath once she wake up to soothe her pain. No spicy food. Add some coconut water in her diet. And make sure she doesn't walk and move her hand.

We were going to scan her fracture at the end of the week but I guess we have to wait for that. Do not let her exert her body, help her while feeding and dealing with baby, please. We don't want her to suffer, do we?" Doctor saidin serious tone.

Abheer just nodded.

"If it is too much, we can arrange nurse for her care." Doctor suggested.

"Mind your own business, doctor. We are very much capable of taking care of our family." Abheer said in low threatening voice.
Doctor visibly gulped hearing his scary voice and shut her mouth knowing she might have cross the line.

"Reyan please escort doctor madam and take prescription to bring medicine." Meera said calming the situation. Reyan immediately nodded and he and the doctor went out of the room.

After sometime, Reyan again entered the room.

"Maasa please now tell us what happened? I'm getting scared for Ruhanika!!" Reyan said with concern.

Meera sighed befire telling what happened while feeding the baby.
While Abheer was lost in his daze thinking about he almost lost her in her operation. He was just sitting beside her, and looking at her holding her hand.

"Jiji, I was thinking that how about we bring some breast pumps and baby bottles to feed gudiya. We cannot use formula, I know Ruhanika will never allow that. She will suffer herself but not let this thing happened, even I'm opposed of idea of formula. But we can try for breast pumps right?" Niharika suggested. Meera thought for some moments before nodding,

"Yes, I guess we should do that, it will help her feed in night too without disturbing her sleep. She will be needing lots of rest in coming days." She said the last part looking at Ruhanika's sleeping tired face.

They 3 left when Abheer did not responded to anything, giving him some time to come out of shock.

Abheer Pov

''I am so sorry, chubby cheeks. Becoz of me you are in this condition. I should have protected you but yet here I am all good and you in front of me laying in pain. I am so sorry chubby cheeks." I whispered looking at her pale face, closed eyes. A tear left my eye.

Fucking shit!! I never cried in years!! And look here you are making me vulnerable with your pain! I cursed myself saying this.

"I promise you, I will get rid of the reason due to which you are in this condition. I will not leave that asshole alive, I promise." I said feeling myself raged at the thought of that Sushant Oberoi alive out there giving my chubby cheeks so pain.

A baby squeal brought me out my thoughts. I kissed her cheek and forehead before going towards cradle. My princess was awake and looking here and there to find someone. When I came into her view, her lips formed a small smile making me smile too.

My princess recognizes me!!

I took her in my arms kissing her forehead and cheeks,
Goodness, since when I started becoming a kisser?!

Since your princess entered in this world!
My conscience said making me smile again.

"I'm really fortunate to have you and your maasa, princess!" I said to her. She smiled as if being happy with whatever I said.

I sat beside Ruhanika with my princess in my arms. I was looking at my princees seeing her falling asleep. Suddenly at the same time, Reyan entered the room or I can say barged into room. Due to thudding sound, my princess flinched and started crying becoz her sleep broke.

I immediately got up, going away from Ruhanika to not wake her up with noise. I got into balcony with Reyan following me.

"Gadhe, can't you come in like a normal human being, always barging into rooms. She just started sleeping and you woke her up startling her." I scolded Reyan.

"I'm so sorry, it was just something urgent came up.... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle her." Reyan said with guilty voice.

"It's okay, next time be careful." I said seeing him guilty and focused my attention to my crying princess. After sometime due to being tired of crying, she slept.

We entered the room to keep her in the cradle. Reyan was about to tell me something that's when his attention went behind my back.

"Ruhanika is waking." He said.
Immediately turned going to Ruhanika. I sat beside her and Reyan sat on the other side holding her right hand.

She groaned waking up and was about to sit when I held her shoulder firmly yet gently stopping her movements.
She looked at me.

"How are you feeling now? "
"I'm fine Abheer ji, just tired and slight headache." Ruhanika said. Her voice came groggy and heavy. She must be drained out of energy with all things happening today.

I nodded at her,
"Doctor told that you need bed rest for some days. You have strained yourself too much today. You are not allowed to move from this bed from today till doctor permits." I said.

She looked at me baffled,
"Abheer ji, nothing is that serious for me to take bed rest. I'll all good by evening. " She tried protesting.

"Not happening, you are under my care from now on." I said strictly.

"But..."
"Yes, Ruhanika, you got something to say." I said raising my brows.

She sighed and said 'nothing' knowing she can't change my decision.

"Now, you are taking warm bath as doctor suggested, then eating your brunch since it is already past breakfast time, to have medicines. Reyan, can you call maasa or kakisa to help her."

Reyan went down to call them, while I was preparing bath tub for her to bath.

When I came inside the room, I saw both kakisa and maasa beside Ruhanika helping her sit.

She was about to step down her foot, but kakisa stopped her saying,
"No Ruhi beta, you are not allowed to walk for some days. Abheer beta, pick her up and get her inside bath room." She said the later part to me.

Oh how much I love my kakisa!!

I gently picked Ruhanika and she laid her head on my shoulder tiredly.

"I'm so sorry you have to go through this." I whispered kissing her forehead.

I went inside bathroom followed by maasa and kakisa. I kept her on the chair I kept for her and left the room so that maasa and kakisa can help her before saying,
"Call me maasa when she is done bathing."

After her bath, I brought her in the room and laid her on the bed.

"Ruhi beta, doctor said not to exert your body with too much movements. You are weak bachha. And as you know what happened while feeding gudiya, we were thinking that to feed the baby with bottles for some days."

"But she is too small to be fed by formula maasa. It's okay, I can bear a little pain for her." Ruhanika said voicing her concern.

"Yes Ruhi, we know that she shouldn't be fed formula milk. So we were suggesting to use breast pumps. It will be useful in night too. We will be able to feed her in night while you are taking rest and sleeping." Kakisa said.

"Ohh, yeah it's fine with me." Ruhanika agreed to the idea, after giving much thought, understanding their concern.

Then, kakisa and I stayed with her and maasa went down to bring her brunch.

When, maasa got out of the room, Reyan enetered coming towards Ruhanika.

"How are you now, Ruhi? You scared the shit out of me when I saw you crying today." Reyan said sitting beside Ruhanika and kissing her forehead.

"I'm all okay, bhaisa, don't worry." She said smiling at him.

"Don't ever pull the stunts you did today again. Do you even know how much the doctor scolded my buddy?" Reyan said teasing me. He and kakisa started laughing at his comment.

I cursed him under my breath. Why does he have to tell her this?
While Ruhanika's eyes widen hearing this. I know what is coming now.

"I'm so sorry Abheer ji, doctor scolded you becoz of me." She said with guilty voice.

"It's nothing like that, Ruhi, this budhhu is just pulling my leg." I glared at him when he tried to tell the truth, indicating him to shut his mouth.

After some time we both moved out of her room, when she was done having her breakfast and medicines.

"Abheer, let's go to study, there is something you need to know." Reyan said in serious voice.
