"What did you say, you sadu?" She asked with full raging voice. But, the name with which she called Reyan made him angry.
"What did you call me? Mind your tongue girl!" Reyan said with his threatening voice that made Sakshi gulped seeing his anger, but she did not show her inner turmoil on her face and kept glaring at him.
Abheer was amused seeing Reyan so angry, becoz never in his life he saw anyone's words affecting Reyan, not even his own parents.
"I will call you again, Sadu sadu sadu! What will you do huh?" Sakshi said glaring at him. Before Reyan could spat out his angry words, baby started crying due to loud noises. Sakshi immediately rocked in her arms, but baby did not calm coz of seeing not so familiar face after waking up. Abheer was going to take the baby in his arms but before he could do, Reyan took the baby in his arms without even asking Sakshi and started going towards balcony.
"I will see him and baby. Don't come after me." Abheer said going behind Reyan.
Sakshi became more angry on his behaviour.
"You should have not talked that way, Sakshi. He is the sweetest person I have ever met in my life. You cannot judge him by one meeting, can you?" Ruhanika asked her gently not to anger her more. Sakshi knew she was right, and now that made her angry on herself more instead of Reyan. It's not first time she was hearing such comments on her face, but she was expert in ignoring such bad talks about her. And here, Reyan didn't even insult her, yet she became angry and talked rudely with him. She was not liking the effect that his simple sentence made her loose her cool, that's what made her angry on Reyan, not his comment.
"Leave it, didisa. What are you going to wear for day after tomorrow? Is Ms.Sakshi too coming?" Ayaan asked the sillest question ever, but at least it made the tense atmosphere calm. Then, they 4 started talking about random things forgetting what happened some moments ago.
With Abheer and Reyan
When Abheer came in balcony, he saw a beautiful scene.
Reyan was standing near railing with his forehead touched with baby's. Reyan was taking deep breaths to calm his anger in soothing presence of baby. The cryings of baby were stopped long ago. The baby was keenly looking at his face and touching his cheeks with her tiny hands as if comforting him. Abheer clicked his picture and then, went towards him.
He kept his hand on his shoulder to let him know his presence. Once Reyan was calm, he opened his eyes and smiled looking at the cutest baby ever. He kissed her forehead and cheeks before turning towards Abheer.
"Would you like to talk?" Abheer asked calmly.
"There is nothing to talk." Reyan said calmly not looking at him.
"Come sit." Abheer sat on the couch and patted his side. Reyan silently sat leaning onto couch and looking at baby's face.
"That was so unusual of you. You never talked that way with any person as far as I know." Abheer said looking at him.
"That girl is rude. I do not like her." Reyan said slowly.
"I didn't ask about your likeness buddy." Abheer said softly keeping his hand on his thigh to comfort him. Reyan seems to be in some caught up emotions with his behaviour.
Reyan didn't reply to that which made Abheer sigh. Reyan is someone who struggles to open up his emotions, but that never happened with Abheer. Abheer was surprised too but chose to stay silent as to not disturb him more.
Reyan saw baby sucking her thumb and gently pulled her thumb from her mouth,
"She is hungry, I guess. Feed her Abheer." He said passing the baby to Abheer.
"You know, you will always find me beside you right? Come whenever you want to talk." Abheer said patting his shoulder. Reyan nodded.
"I'm going to company, some important meetings." Reyan said getting up from couch.
"Have lunch and then go, Reyan." Abheer said seeing him going.
"I'm not hungry, Abheer." Reyan said without looking back and went in the room. Abheer sighed not knowing his sudden change of behaviour. Baby made cooing sound to gain attention of Abheer. Abheer immediately looked at her and said sadly,
"Your mamasa is upset, princess. But, for now let's feed your tummy." He said and kissed her forehead before smiling. The baby too smiled when he kissed her. He got up from the couch, and went inside only to see they 4 sitting silently and not talking anything. He frowned at that but, went towards Ruhanika anyways.
"Hold her for a moment, Ruhi. I'll heat up her milk." Abheer said to her. Ruhanika immediately sat in Indian style on couch so Abheer could keep the baby in her lap. Abheer turned to get her milk, but saw Ayaan and Abhiraj still sitting there.
"Are you both done for the day? If there is no work for you guys to do, let me assign some!" Abheer asked folding his arms and raising eyebrows.
They both instantly stood up. They both were looking as if a kid got caught while bunking a class by teacher.
Abhiraj said nervously,
"N....no, bhaisa. We were about to go now. Bye." He said hastily and they took a run to escape from Abheer. Abheer shook his head at them and moved to heat the milk in the room only. He had arranged all set up needed for Ruhanika to feed the baby in room only.
Meanwhile, Ruhanika and Sakshi were smiling about the scene happened just a moment ago.
After some time, Abheer too went to do his work. He decided to work in home office only. As usual, he skipped his lunch even being in home, but this time reason was Reyan. Because he went without eating anything. Sakshi had lunch with family and went her home after lunch. Ruhanika insisted on staying for more time, but she denied. Ruhanika became sad but Sakshi promised her to come early on the day of naming ceremony.
At night
Reyan came home too late, when everyone was asleep. But, Abheer was awake waiting for him to come. He saw Reyan's car entering mansion premises through Ruhanika's room balcony. He sighed and waited for sometime till he gets freshen up.
He went in the kitchen to heat up food for Reyan, but he stopped in his track when he saw someone already on the kitchen.
Yes...... it was MEERA!!
She was making plate of Reyan's food. She was about to move out of kitchen, that's when she saw Abheer leaning on the kitchen entrance wall looking at her. She smiled at him knowing he also came to take Reyan's food. She heartily admires their bond. They have been inseparable since they became friends. And she was glad that she got another son in form of Reyan who is totally opposite nature of Abheer yet is as much protective of his loved ones as Abheer.
"Come on, let's together feed Reyan. Today he seemed a little off while going out. Come on, let's cheer him up." Meera said smiling at Abheer to which he nodded.
Reyan just took a shower and was tiredly laying on bed. He was so hungry, but didn't have energy to walk out and have dinner, so he just decided to sleep without eating. He was on the verge of falling asleep, that's when he heard knock and footsteps entering his room. He turned his head to look at the person, but frowned seeing Meera entering but smiled at her concern when he saw food in her hands.
"Maasa, you here? You know, I miss you so much!!" He said taking plate from her hands and keeping on coffee table. He made her sit on the bed and kept his head on her lap. He let out a sigh of relief when she started massaging his head gently.
"How was your day, Reyu? You look more tired than always.'' She said caressing his head.
"Nothing, maasa, just work load." He said now sitting beside her holding her hand.
"You can come in too, Abheer. No need to eavesdrop." Reyan said in teasing voice loudly so that Abheer could hear, who was outside his door.
"I do not eavesdrop, Reyan!" Abheer said coming inside.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever!" Reyan said rolling his eyes at him.
Meera shook her head at them both,
"Okay, now stop with this. Let's eat Reyan." Meera said and started feeding Reyan with her hands. Reyan ate happily with her hands with some chit chats. Abheer was just looking at them with small smile. After some time, Meera went followed by Abheer.
Then, Abheer again entered the room with 2 glasses and whiskey in hand. Reyan chuckled looking at him, knowing now is not the escape. They both settled on couch and Abheer started filling the glasses for the 2.
He gave one to Reyan, and they made cheers before sipping the drink.
"So, what happened today? You never behaved even once like that." Abheer said finally voicing Reyan's unusual behaviour.
"Nothing, just made me remind of a bitter past memory." Reyan said shrugging and leaning on the couch.
"Want to talk about it?" Abheer asked gently as he knows this matter has to be solved with calmness.
Reyan took a deep breath before starting to talk,
"You remember, in our last year of college, you took 3 months leave becoz of your mafia king eligibility test and stuff........
Flashback- When Abheer and Reyan were 20
Apparently, Abheer was on leave for last 3 months of his last year graduation. He had taken permission to be able to give final exams online, obviously he was future king, no one denies him.
Reyan and Abheer were the only friends in the college. So, Reyan was alone those 3 months. They were studying in Jodhpur, far from their families.
2 Weeks before the exam week, a party was arranged for graduating students. Reyan was not interested in going as Abheer was not there to accompany him. So he skipped the party.
Next day, when he was on his way to class, he heard about the rumour, that one girl was molested in last night's party. He wanted to kill the person even just hearing about this. He has always believed in respecting others and especially women and these acts are heinous to his ethics. But, he shrugged his thoughts and moved towards his class.
But, suddenly he felt someone pulling him backwards and next moment a slap sound echoed in the corridor. This happened so fast, that for next 10 sec he didn't even realise that he was slapped. He was pulled out of his thoughts when he felt someone grabbing his collar.
"HOW DARE YOU MOLEST MY FRIEND!! DON'T YOU FEEL ASHAME OF YOUR ACT!? TERI KOI MAA BEHEN NAHI HAI KYA, SADU SAALE, AGAR KOI UNKE KE SAATH BATTAMIZI KAREGA TO SEH LEGA KYA TU??" A girl yelled so loudly holding and jerking his collar. Reyan was stunned hearing her accusations. He was not understanding what was going on. Who was this girl who was accusing him of such a wicked act!?
(DON'T YOU HAVE ANY WOMAN AT HOME?! WILL IT BE OKAY IF IT WAS YOUR MOTHER OR SISTER IN HER PLACE!?)
"BOL NA, AB KYU BOLTI BAND HUI HAI TERI??" The girl yelled still holding his collar looking at him with rage and disgust.
(WHY ARE YOU SILENT NOW?? HUH!)
"L...look, you're misunderstanding. I don't even know, who are you talking about. And I definitely didn't do any such thing." Reyan said explaining himself, trying to release her hold on his collar which he did at last by jerking her hand. By now, whole crowd of students was surrounding them and some were taking vedioes.
The girl started laughing loudly and clapping her hands,
"Wah wah, tumne nahi kya?! Are sadu kamine insaan, aise kaam karne hi kyu hote hai, jo karke tum uski gawahi bhi na de sako. Ab kyu sharam arahi hai tumhe, jab mere dost ke saath battamizi kar rahe the tab kaha gayi tumhari sharam, huh!!" The girl said mocking Reyan, but he was so baffled as to why this girl was saying all this.
(You didn't do it?! You vile man, why do such thing that you yourself can't speak about?! You are ashamed now, where was this shame when you were misbehaving with my friend?!)
"I told you I'm not the one to do anything to your friend. Heck, I don't even know your friend." Reyan said in calm voice.
"Itta hi shok hai na tumhe, chal main bhi ek ladki hu, aa chhed muze bhi. Farak bas itna hoga, ab tu ye sabke saamne karega." The girl said shocking everyone in the room, but Reyan was beyond shock. The girl in front him had gone crazy, he thought.
(You like doing this na, come on I'm a girl too. Touch me. The only difference would be you'll be doing it in front of everyone.)
"Chal na, laga haat muze, laga." She said moving forward and pushing him. (Guys, imagine the scene, okay.)
(Come on, touch me.)
"Miss, you are crossing your limits, now. I already told you, I'm not the one. I was not even in yesterday's party." This statement of him, made the girl more furious.
"I'M CROSSING MY LIMITS! YOU BLOODY MAN, YOU ALREADY CROSSED YOURS, BY TOUCHING A GIRL WITHOUT HER PERMISSION. AND YOU'RE TELLING ME, I'M CROSSING MY LIMITS, HOW DARE YOU??" The girl again held his collar and slapped him 2-3 times in anger. The female professor had to interfere in between to stop the girl. Because she knew, how good and nice student Reyan was. He stopped the girl and ask her to talk with principal regarding her complaints.
In Principal Office
"Miss, why are you creating ruckus in our University? Mind explaining your behaviour." Principal said in serious voice.
"Sir, the boy standing over here, has molested my friend in yesterday night's University Party. She came home with torne clothes. Luckily, she escaped before he could rape her!" She said in loathing voice giving disgusting look to Reyan. The principal and professor present in the room were shocked so was Reyan.
"Sir, she is lying, I was not even there in the party. I didn't do any such thing. Please believe me." Reyan said trying to make him understand the situation.
"Abe sadu!" The girl tried to walk over Reyan angrily, but the professor stopped her coming in between.
"Please calm down, miss. Do you really know he was the same person?" Principal asked.
"Yes, she said his name was Reyan. He is the same guy." She said firmly.
"Prof. Agrawal, is there only one Reyan in last year?" Principal asked.
"I believe so, yes sir." The prof. said worriedly, but she was so confused with the situation as she knew, Reyan would never do this.
"Mam, please at least you believe me. You know, I would never do such thing." Reyan said trying to make at least one person on his side.
"Don't try to act all innocent now after doing such act!" The girl said in mocking tone.
"If you don't believe me, call the girl here. She will tell that I'm not one who did such thing with her." Reyan said trying to find proofs for his innocence.
"How dare you even think to call her over here? Do you even know she hadn't even woken up since she came home yesterday. She was so terrified that she had fever which never came down, since night." The girl said angrily.
Reyan was feeling helpless. He needed someone's support with all things happening on. He needed Abheer by his side.
"Sir please believe me, I didn't do any such thing." Reyan said pleading to Principal.
"Every criminal doesn't agree to his crime, you sadu!!" The girl said with a scoff. All the time she had a disgusting look on her face whenever she talked to Reyan.
"Please calm down, miss. Reyan you go for now to your class. We will check the footage, to actually know what happened." The principal said.
"You cannot let him go like this, when my friend is suffering becoz of his sick desires. I want you resticate him right now. I don't even know when will she wake up, if she will be able to give her exams or not, but I will make sure he will definitely not give his. A criminal should not be backed by support of education." She said angrily.
"Please, this is not how things work. We will have to find out exactly what happened before we take some actions." Professor said trying to calm her down.
"Reyan you go to your class. We will see what happens." The professor said gently looking at vulnerable state of the boy. He just nodded before moving out of the room. He can still hear the shoutings of the girl from the closed door. A lone tear escaped his eye, as fast as he wiped it. He does not show his weakness to the world. He started moving towards the class, but he felt all the gazes on him while he was walking. He could hear the whispers about him that were moving around the room. He was feeling anxious from inside becoz of those questionable stares he was getting.
The whole day went by like that, he was the hot topic of conversation of all the students. His videos that were shot was spread across every friends group.
The next day when he came to the University hoping that they may have found the real culprit in the cctv, but his all hopes died when he got to know that 20 min footage was missing due to the power cut during the party. And apparently, the girl was molested in that time only. This thing only confirmed as if Reyan took the opportunity and misbehaved with the victim. On that cue, the principal decided to resticate Reyan till the exam, but he can give his exams.
Reyan was so shocked that he didn't even get chance to prove his innocence and was punished just based on some vile accusations. He didn't even went out of his dorm room for 3 days straight, not even for eating or anything.
But, all becoz of his good deeds, the victim girl gained consciousness on the 4th day. She told that the Reyan she was talking about, was her friend's brother who was already graduated from the same college. He was the one who came to party that night with his brother and misbehaved with her when the light was gone.
Reyan was proved innocent. His restication was cancelled and the girl (victim's friend) wanted to apologise him. But Reyan took the decision to not go to the college and asked for the permission to give the exam online. Principal too agreed thinking that he might not want to come to University due to all the humiliation he faced.
Abheer and he didn't come to the graduation day too. Abheer was unaware of the incident and on graduation day it's his mafia coronation too. Reyan too was with him and he was glad that he didn't had to go to that University again. He sworn to never keep his feet in that University again.
But little did he know, the girl daily came to University just to apologise him till his exams ended. And on his graduation day too, as he never came during the exams. It was her last hope to ask for his forgiveness, but again he never came. She literally cried as she knew she won't ever meet him again was feeling ashamed of doing such thing with him.
