All went inside but frowned not seeing Ruhanika, Sakshi and baby in living room. Suddenly they saw Sakshi coming downstairs running.
"Hukum, R...Ruhanika is crying in the room. She hea...heard all those things reporters said about her and her baby!" She said panting making everyone's eyes go wide. That's when Abheer and Reyan remembered about these 3 being in the balcony looking at the happenings if outside.
Abheer and Reyan quickly ran upstairs followed by everyone else.
He came inside her room seeing the door open, only to see heartbreaking scene of Ruhanika hiccuping badly due to crying and holding baby close to her chest. Abheer immediately moved forward and embraced both of them at the same time. He held the baby in his arms safely making Ruhanika clutch her free hand on his kurta and keep her head in his neck crying.
"Hush, Ruhi. Nothing happened. Don't cry, nothing happened. Here, look at me. Tell me why are crying?" He said taking her face in his one hand and wiping tears from her eyes. But they kept flowing from her eyes.
"Ab...abheer ji, you listened what w...were they saying. They were badmouthing about o..our Abhaya even when they don't know her. How can...can they say like th..that about my inn...innocent child?" She complained crying and hiccuping badly.
Everyone else were already in the room and ladies were having tears in their eyes listening to her. Rathore men looked angry as they could not protect their their innocent child from world.
"Shhh.. calm down first, calm down. You will wake Abhaya up, you want that?" Abheer said trying to calm her. Ruhanika immediately stopped making noise as to not wake up the sleeping baby. But, tears were still flowing from her eyes.
Meera came by her side and started patting her back to calm her down. Ruhanika immediately kept her head in Meera's chest seeking for comfort which made Meera wrap her hand around her.
"Baccha, aise rote nahi hai. Log toh bolte hi rahenge, to kya hum unki baato ka bura manke rote bethenge. Har koi khush nahi hota humari khushiyo mein siwaay apno ke, isliye hi wo log aisa bol rahe the humari khushiya chhin ne keliye. Aur ab tum usse itna affect hoke unka maksat pura kar rahi ho. Yeh to nahi chalega na, mera baccha? Bas shant ho ja ab." Meera said in her comforting voice patting her head.
(Dear, don't cry so much. So what if people talk like shit, we cannot let their words get under our skin, right? Not everyone gets happy with our happiness. They talk like this to make us unhappy. And you are fulfilling their intention with getting affected so much. This shouldn't be done, right? Enough now, calm down.)
Meera sighed when she didn't stop and let her cry for sometime. After sometime she stopped and pulled out of Meera's embrace.
Her eyes again started filling with tears looking at baby's sleeping face and remembering those questions of reporters. Abheer sighed looking at her.
"Bas Ruhi, aur mat ro. Thaka logi khud ko aise, bacche." Gayatri Devi said coming near her and patting her head.
(Enough, Ruhi. Don't cry so much, you will exhaust yourself.)
"Aur un pagal logo ki bate sun ne ki bilkul bhi jaroorat nahi hai. Unhe bas kuch spicy news chahiye hoti hai apne channel ke TRP keliye. Uskeliye wo yeh tak nahi soch te ki saamne wale ko un baato ka bura bhi lag sakta hai." Niharika said sitting on the bed beside Abheer.
(And, don't ever focus on those stupid people's talks. They just want something spicy to gain their channel some TRP. For that they don't even think, they are actually hurting someone with their words.)
"Bas abhi, I don't want a single tear now in your eyes. Wipe them and let's go down to have dinner." Vikram said and everyone agreed to him.
But, Abheer saw Ruhanika looked tired so he said,
"Maasa, send Ruhanika's and my dinner upstairs. She looks tired. Let her rest. I will take care of her." Meera nodded and they all moved out of the room except for Reyan and Sakshi.
Reyan came towards Ruhanika and said,
"Don't worry, I will not let those people go easily. They will have to pay for whatever dirt they have thrown at my innocent bhatiji. Hmm?" Reyan said patting holding her shoulders assuring her. Ruhanika water works again started seeing their love still didn't change even after whatever happened. She kept her head on his chest and silent tears flown from her eyes.
"Th..thank you, bha..bhaisa." She said clutching her hands on his kurta. The other 3 chuckled at this cute Ruhanika.
Abheer turned towards Sakshi and said,
"Sakshi will you please help Ruhanika change?"
Sakshi immediately nodded and helped Ruhanika out of her bed and they both moved towards closet room. Abheer now looked angry when Ruhanika was out of sight.
"You know what to do Reyan!" Abheer said in deep angry voice.
"Yes, buddy! Don't worry, just take care of Ruhanika for now." Reyan said and left the room to handle those bloody reporters.
Abheer kept the baby in the cradle. At the same time, a knock was heard on the door and the person entered the room after taking permission. The maids brought food of Abheer and Ruhanika. Abheer told them to keep it on the tea table and the maid went after bowing to Abheer.
Abheer heard the sound of door opening and saw Ruhanika and Sakshi entering from closet. Ruhanika has changed into her cotton saree. She was looking insanely beautiful in that simple white saree to Abheer's eyes. Her long curly hairs were braided.
But, Abheer's subconscious made his wild thoughts stop,
Not now Abheer, she is sad and you are thinking of your first night? Not good, not good!!!
His subconscious mocked him. And he immediately stood up and going towatds them.
"Thank you, Sakshi. You too go downstairs and have your dinner." Sakshi nodded and Abheer and Ruhanika moved towards the couch.
They both sat and Abheer started serving them both. Once he was done, he looked at Ruhanika lost in thoughts. He sighed and held her soft hand in his rough big one's.
"Ruhi, don't think too much please."
"But they were saying so mean things to my baby. I hate them for talking ill about my baby!" Ruhanika said with tear filled eyes and wobbling lips.
Abheer could have chuckled at her if situation was not this serious as she was really looking like 5 year old with those wobbling lips.
He pulled her to his chest and said softly caressing her hairs.
"I know, Ruhi, I know. And they will get their punishment for this. Don't you worry. Hmm?"
Ruhanika frowned hearing him and said pulling out of his hold,
"What punishment are you talking about Abheer ji? Reyan bhaisa was also saying the same."
"Nothing your little head need to worry about!" He said patting her head and making her scrunch her face in response.
They started eating. Dinner went silently and peaceful silence was spread after the chaos of before.
They were done and the empty plates were sent downstairs.
At the same time, baby woke up and started crying due to hunger. She was not fed since afternoon before leaving for the temple. Abheer kept the baby Abhaya in Ruhanika's lap and went to prepare her milk, but frowned when he saw the mini fridge empty.
He turned towards Ruhanika,
"Ruhi, the milk is finished."
"Ohh, don't worry Abheer ji. I want to breastfeed her today. Can you please send someone to help me?" Ruhanika asked in her gentle soft tone, feeling shy about the topic.
Abheer nodded and was about to move out, but that's when a knock was heard and Sakshi entered on the cue.
"It's nice that you came. Please help Ruhi with feeding the baby." Abheer said to which Sakshi nod and Abheer left the room.
Sakshi sat beside Ruhanika and help her open the blouse and held the baby comfortably so that she could be fed properly.
"Umm, are you feeling okay now, Ruhanika?" Sakshi asked hesitantly referring to previous incident.
Ruhanika sighed and nodded her head,
"Yes, I'm better now. But still I didn't like whatever happened before. That should not have happened." She said in a mick tone caressing her baby's head softly, who is sucking while closing her eyes.
"Yeah, but don't worry about anything now. Bade hukum handled it very responsibly. I don't think whatever happened today will ever go out. Our Abhaya is very lucky that all of them love her like their own granddaughter. " Sakshi said.
Ruhanika smiled at that,
"Yes, dadasa and Reyan bhaisa really shut their mouth. And I agree that my baby is lucky to get them. In fact, I'm lucky to get them as well. You will not believe but they were really treating me like a baby when I was healing in first days after her birth. They never let me do anything. And when I injured myself the very next day becoz of running, they put me on the bed rest for a whole week and Abheer ji was taking care of me personally. They never let me feel like I'm an outsider and they are not my family. They made me feel home here, which I was missing since last few months." She said the last part slowly with teary eyes.
Sakshi sighed and gently put the sleeping baby beside them on the bed. She hugged Ruhanika making her bury her face in her shoulder. Ruhanika's tears kept flowing,
"I miss my family, Sakshi!", Ruhanika said crying.
Sakshi rubbed her back to provide her the much needed comfort. She pulled out of the hug and wiped her tears,
"Hush, Ruh. Mat ro ab, sab thik ho jayega. Hum jayenge unke pas agar tum chaho. Aur ab toh Abhaya bhi agayi hai, woh jyada der gussa nahi reh payenge. Chinta mat karo.
(Don't cry now, everything will be fine. We will go to them, if you want. And now their granddaughter has come. They will not be able to be angry anymore. Don't worry, hmm.)
Ruhanika shook her head in denial, tears still flowing from her eyes,
"Nahi manenge wo, Sakshi, nahi manenge. Mene unke khilaf jake Abhay ko chuna. Unka dil toda. Sabse ladli thi mein. Aur mene kya kiya, unko chhod ke, unke marzi ke khilaf Abhay se shaadi kar li. Mene unhe thoda aur manana chahiye tha. Shayad maan bhi jate the wo, pr nahi ki mene koshish. Shayad unka dil todne ki hi saja mili hai muze, mere Abhay mere saath nahi hai!" Ruhanika said crying.
(No, they won't. I chose Abhay over them, broke their heart. I was the most pampered child, Sakshi. And what I did, I married Abhay without their consent. I should've tried more to pursue them. They might've agreed. But, no, I didn't try harder. Maybe, that's why I'm getting punished today, my Abhay is not with me.)
"Aisa nahi hai, Ruh. Jaise tumne bola, ki tum unki ladli thi, abhi bhi itna sab kuch hone ke baad wo tumse utna hi pyaar karte honge. I can tell with guarantee that they will accept you after sometime. Afterall how long can they be angry with their favourite child!" Sakshi said which made Ruhanika chuckle.
She thought that what Sakshi was saying is right. A ray of hope was seen to her that they will accept her if she will try to pursue them once again.
"You're right, Sakshi. I guess I should meet bhaisa once I'm out of this cast and my hand is healed. I still have to ask him why did he stop calling me since last 6-7 months." Ruhanika said smiling.
"That's my girl! Always keep smiling this my Ruh." Sakshi said happily.
Ruhanika smiled at her and once again hugged her,
"Thank you so much for being there for me, Sakshi. I could have done nothing without you. Thank you once again."
Sakshi smiled and said,
"You don't need to thank me Ruh. I will always be there for you whenever you need me, becoz I know you will do the same of the situation is reversed." Sakshi said pulling out of the hug.
"Definitely!!"
Sakshi went home after sometime. Vikram asked driver to drop her since it was already late and she didn't bring her scooty.
Abheer entered Ruhanika's room only to see her caressing sleeping Abhaya's head. He smiled at her and went to sit beside her. Ruhanika lifted her head sensing some presence in the room only to see Abheer sitting beside her. She smiled at him.
"What were you thinking so deeply, Ruhi?"
"Nothing Abheer ji.'' She said making Abheer sighed.
"I already told you not to worry about whatever happened before. Don't take any stress please." Abheer said pleading, trying to calm her mind.
Ruhanika nodded but not answered.
"Ruhi, you were asking to see my room right? Would you like to tour my room now? We are free anyways, and you are not looking sleepy either." Abheer thought of an idea to divert Ruhanika's attention, which actually worked. Ruhanika immediately agreed getting a little bit excited.
"But what about Abhaya? Who will look after her?" Ruhanika asked .
"Why someone will look after her? Of course, she will be coming with us too. I'll carry her. Come on let's go." Abheer said taking the sleeping baby in his arms.
They moved out of the room and headed towards Abheer's room which is not actually a room, but a whole house.
Abheer opened the closer door of his room making Ruhanika gasped seeing the big living room in front of her.
"Wow, Abheer ji!!! It's so pretty living room. I've never seen so beautiful living room ever in my life." Ruhanika said now looking really happy and care free like before. Abheer smiled and said,
"I'm glad you liked it, Ruhi. Come on let's go to my bed room now, since its on this floor." Abheer said making Ruhanika nod.
They moved to his bedroom, again making Ruhanika amuse of such a spacious big bed room.
Ruhanika was standing with her mouth wide open.
Wow, he even has Chandler in his bed room. Abheer ji is super richy rich!!
She thought looking around the room, but her thoughts broke hearing loud laugh of Abheer. That's when she realised that she said that aloud making her go all red due to embarrassment.
"You are really cute, Ruhi!" Abheer said wiping the tears that left from the corner of his eyes due to laughing. Ruhanika again became red, but this time due to blush.
"Ummm is that your closet room?" Ruhanika asked hiding her flushed face, to get out this awkward situation. Abheer chuckled inaudibly at her attempt to change the topic. He nodded and then opened the door to let her see.
Ruhanika stood there amused at how everything in his room screams money and yet living so luxurious life, Abheer never showed a single ounce of arrogance in his behaviour regarding his status.
She then opened the another door in the closet while roaming around, which is connected to Abheer's bathroom.
And now as expected, the room was beyond her expectations. It's like the room she could never imagine existed but she loved his bathroom as well.(😅)
Then, they moved out of his bed room and went to the mini kitchen in his room or may be we can say his wing.
"Wow Abheer ji, this kitchen is so nice. I never knew you can cook. I would really love to taste food made of your hands." Ruhanika said smiling.
"Honour would be mine, my lady!!" Abheer said giving dramatic bow to Ruhanika which made her laugh. But, unknowingly her heart skipped a beat at him saying my lady.
This is the playful side of Abheer which was only reserved for his family. But, as he started growing and taking the responsibilities of people and company, he started becoming more cold to others and playful nature vanished even with his family. He became a person of calm nature from the little mischievous Abheer. Ruhanika too noticed his behaviour changing from her first meet with him and she was happy seeing Abheer's this side and liked it more than the previous Abheer which more kind of intimidating to her in initial days.
Then, they move to upstairs where Abheer's personal office was.
"Really cool office!! But I never thought of you using such a small office!!" Ruhanika said.
"It is because, I do not use this office so often. Either all work is done in company, or in home office with dadasa if he asked. This office is used only when the dead lines are near and I have to work extra for the same. This is more used for keeping highly confidential documents and presentations." Abheer said.
"Ohh! That make sense seeing so many cupboards in the room." Ruhanika said looking around the room.
"But, why did you let me enter in here, when this room has some confidential information??" Ruhanika questioned confused.
"Becoz, I trust you Ruhi!'' Abheer said making Ruhanika's heart go wild.
"I know you will never do any such thing to hurt me, or deceive me!" Ruhanika's heart warmed at his words and she immediately nodded her head,
"Yes, I will never hurt you Abheer ji." She admire him for trusting her so much. And she made an unsaid promise to keep his trust for the life time.
Abheer's heart was no different than her with her response. So, he just smiled at her not knowing what to say.
"This is my reading space.'' Abheer said.
"It's really nice and peaceful in here, Abheer ji." Ruhanika said looking around.
''I read here my favourite books whenever I get free time. Either here or in library. I assume you have already seen it. Do you like that library?" Abheer asked.
"Ohh Abheer ji, I love the library. I've never seen such a beautiful library in my life. It's like some ancient library and feels like you have entered any different time dimension in there. I'm really eager to read books in there." Ruhanika said with excitement.
"Dadasa will love you more for this. He really wanted a reading companion. I used to his companion before, but I hardly get any time since I join the company and with my responsibilities. He will be very happy to know now there is one more person in the house who would like to spend time in the library beside him and me." Abheer said smiling at him.
"I should definitely tell him this tomorrow then!" Ruhanika said with playful determination in her voice which made Abheer chuckle and said,
"You should!" Which made Ruhanika laugh.
Then, they move to the gallary.
"Now, I hope you like this balcony." Abheer said.
"Everytime I think now this is most beautiful room in your wing, I'm always proved wrong. I do not like it, rather I love this balcony. Hey Maa, kitna sundar hai yeh nazara. Idhar bithke ke bhi jii ko kitna sukoon mil jayega. Aur aap kehte hai ki I hope you like this. I love this Abheer ji, I love this!!" Ruhanika said getting too much excited.
(Oh my god, this is so beautiful. It's so peaceful in here. And you're saying, I hope you like it.)
My chubby cheeks is such baby!! Being so happy over a mere room!! Abheer thought smiling at this excited Ruhanika.
"But Abheer ji, I didn't get one thing. Why would you have so many rooms in your wing, separated from the other part of haveli. Like your room or rather wing is totally different house apart from mansion??" Ruhanika questioned.
Abheer sighed at her question and said looking at sleeping Abhaya in his arms,
"You know Ruhi, I wanted to become an interior designer from a very young age. But as I started growing up, I got to know that I have to take over the responsibilities of Rajasthan after babasa as well as of company. That is why I had to chose business management instead of interior designing. I gave up on my that dream, but just as a memory of my dream, I chose to design my room. I also used to stay with all siblings in the west wing and this wing used to be the guest wing, but when at 23, I asked dadasa if I could shift to this wing and he agreed. So I combined all the rooms except for 2 guest rooms, one which is of Reyan and other one which you are using." Abheer completed and looked at Ruhi smiling.
Ruhanika's heart clenched for Abheer's sacrifice of his dream for his people including her. The more she gets to know him, the more her admiration towards him increases.
She muster the courage and smile, though her heart was crying seeing that helpless and sad expression on his face which he hid behind his smile. She can see that glimpse of little Abheer who was carefree and mischievous like any other normal growing kid. She so wanted to console him, but she chose to appreciate his sacrifice not to make him more sad.
"You have such a great heart Abheer ji. In days where people can do anything for their dream even going against their owm family, you chose to sacrifice it for others. I'm so lucky to be able to know a person like you who is so selfless. And, though you're best as a businessman, I can tell with guarantee that you could have been no less best in interior designing. Your wing has the best rooms in this mansion, of course with library and puja room." Ruhanika said smiling. Abheer chuckled at Ruhanika's last statement.
"Well, I'm honoured to hear such pleasant words, dear Ruhi. Thank you so much for that, though you don't need to say this." Abheer said.
Ruhanika waved her hand dramatically and said,
"Oh come on Abheer ji, I know you get to hear these words on daily basis, but still there is no need to deny the fact that You are the best person I know!!" Ruhanika said smiling.
