After the tour to Abheer's wing, Abheer and Ruhanika went to her room to sleep. As usual once again in midnight baby woke up due to hunger. Abheer was glad that Ruhanika had already pumped breast milk, so he was able to feed baby Abhaya without disturbing sleep of Ruhanika as she was already tired from the previous day.
Though Abheer was tired too, but he was used to being like this. Before Ruhanika coming into his life, he mostly used to come home late due to more work load in office, resulting into less sleep. But, as a habit to the body, however late he slept, he used to wake up at 5-5.30 in morning.
Baby Abhaya was in no mood to sleep, so Abheer kept her rocking and talking to her. She reacted creating cute cute noises as a response to what Abheer said. When she started feeling drowsy, Abheer put her face in his neck and started patting her back softly.
Once baby was asleep, Abheer put her in her cradle and slept on the couch.
Next day, as usual when Ruhanika woke up baby was beside her, pillows securing her from the other side. Ruhanika sleepily smiled knowing it must be Abheer who kept the baby beside her when he went for his gym session. From the day of the small accident of Ruhanika, Abheer always kept the baby beside her if he had to leave the room, so that Ruhanika again would not get panicked like that day.
She sat on the bed and stretched her body a little, to get rid of remaining sleep. Baby Abhaya was fast asleep after being tired of night session of play with Abheer. So, Ruhanika decided to quickly get freshen up before she wakes up. She secured her with pillows before moving in the bathroom.
After sometime, Abheer entered the room, fully ready to go to the office. When he entered, he saw Abhaya awake, but unlike day before, she was silently laying on the bed without crying, despite nobody's presence in the room. Abheer heard the water running from bathroom, and got to know that Ruhanika was taking shower. He moved towards the bed near baby. Once Abheer's face came into the view of baby, she let out a squeal smiling at him.
Abheer chuckled at her so much energy in early morning and gently kissed her forehead and cheeks.
"Good morning, Abhaya!" Abheer said in soft voice which is only reserved for his family. Baby too make noises as if replying to him.
"My princess was being such a good girl, not even crying when no one was around. You are a good girl right?" Abheer asked while the baby was still on the bed and he was leaning towards his face. Baby smiled at that as if understanding him.
At the same time Reyan enter the room after knocking, which is not an usual sight.
He entered and straight away went near Abhaya.
"Aww, my bhatiji is awake!! At least today, do you plan on coming to your mamu?" Reyan said making an attempt to take the baby. Unlike previous time, Abhaya went in his embrace and was happy to see her mamu. She smiled at him and place her small small hand on Reyan's cheek.
"Aww, my princess is happy in arms of her mamu. I'm happy too baby!!" Reyan said and started kissing her whole face. But, due to preaking of Reyan's beard in her skin, baby made a loud not so happy sound, which made Reyan pull back, but baby kept staring at him as if she did nothing.
Abheer chuckled at the antics of these both dramatic duo and for sure got to know that Abhaya is going to be as dramatic as Reyan in future.
Reyan squinted his eyebrows at her and our naughty Abhaya smiled at that.
"Yeh toh mujse bhi badi dramebaaz hai yaar, buddy!" Reyan said gasping.
"Pr kuch nahi, hum dono milke tumhare baba ko bohot satayenge!" Reyan said which made Abheer smile.
(She is more drama queen than me, buddy.)
(But don't worry, we both will trouble your papa a lot!")
"Kon kise satayega bhaisa?" Sudden voice of Ruhanika make Abheer and Reyan panick, but they heaved a sigh of relief when they knew that Ruhanika did not heard the word 'baba'.
(Who will trouble whom, brother?)
"No one, Ruhi, at least not now. My princess in being really dramatic today, so I told her that we will trouble Abheer alot once she grows up a little." Reyan said smiling at Ruhi. He was standing near bed while Abheer was sitting on the bed.
Ruhanika smiled and walked towards them and smiled at her baby in Reyan's arms.
"Aww, my baby and bhaisa are ganging up against Abheer ji, you my naughty baby!" Ruhanika said in baby voice to which baby started making cooing noises. Ruhanika smiled and kissed her cheeks.
Then, Abheer took the baby for her bath while Reyan and Ruhanika left downstairs much to Ruhanika's resistance to stay for Abheer behind.
When they entered, everyone was already in dining room. Others were glad that Ruhanika was back to her normal happy self. Ayaan and Abhiraj have already removed all the news articles regarding the day before like the event never even happened in the first place.
Like Reyan promised the reporters which were present, were punished. They were fired and their respective news channels were sued against the case of breach of privacy, since the event though public was involved, phone and any recorders were not allowed inside the Rathore Property.
"Good morning everyone." Ruhanika greeted everyone to which they greeted her back.
"Come Ruhi beta. Start having your breakfast." Meera said and started serving for her when she sat on the chair.
"Umm, no maasa. Abheer ji is still not here. I will wait for him." Ruhanika said.
Others smiled internally for her waiting for Abheer like some husband-wife and Niharika said,
"But Ruhi, you know he will take his time in feeding and getting gudiya all dolled up. You should start." She said playfully.
Ruhanika smiled and said,
"Koi baat nahi, main unka intazaar karti hu, nahi to unhe akele hi khana padega na. Aap log kijiye shuru, please."
(No worries, I will wait for him, or else he will have to eat his breakfast alone. You all start please.)
Meera was about to deny Ruhanika, but got cut off by Gayatri Devi,
"Okay then, you can wait for Abheer." She said giving a knowing look to Meera and they smiled at Ruhanika before all started for their breakfast.
"Aditi, are you pieces for your exhibition prepared? I'm really excited to see them. You didn't show me as they were not complete." Ruhanika decided to talk instead of sitting idle.
"Ohh, no didisa they are not done yet. Some are left but I'm not getting any good ideas for those. It's like I know what to do when I'm thinking but when I'm trying to paint, my mind is totally blank. It's really getting hectic since my deadline is next week." Aditi said sighing.
"Don't take tension, Adu. I can tell with surety that these pieces will be the best of your collection. Many arts are prepared very well when the artist is unable to manage them. They make small mistakes which they think are spoiling the frame, but those are actually the ones which enhances its beauty more, just like human nature. We have many flaws in us, but that's what make us differentiated from the other people, making us unique. I know you can do it!!" Ruhanika said with a soft smile. Others were taken aback from her wise thinking. She is really a unique personality, they thought.
Aditi got some ideas hearing Ruhanika and she got up from her seat smiling,
"I got it, I got it......I GOT IIITTTTT!! Thank you thank you so much didisa. You gave me such a nice idea. Wow, I love you." Aditi said hugging Ruhanika from behind who was sitting on her chair and ran towards her Art Room after.
"Adu bacche, nashta to karke jaa." Meera shouted but Aditi was already out of her sight before she can stop her.
Meera sighed and others chuckled at excited Aditi.
(Aditi, at least have your breakfast first.)
"But really, your thinking is really very wise, beta. After hearing you it felt like I really need to know the art more." Adhiraj said feeling proud of Ruhanika.
"Kuch bhi dadasa. Apke anubhav ke age humari hoshiyari hamesha kam hi rahegi. Just ek chiz jo apko na pata hone se yeh baat to bhulayi nahi ja sakti na." Ruhanika said smiling.
(Definitely not dadasa. Our intelligence will always be overpowered by your experience of life. Just having knowledge of something doesn't deny that fact, right.)
Adhiraj smiled at that and kept his hand on her head blessing her,
"Sada khush raho, Ruhi beta. Bohot nasseb wale hai hum, ki tumhare jaisi ek aur poti mili hai." Everyone smiled at that and Ruhanika touched his feet in respect and Adhiraj let her do that. But for the last time!
(Always be happy, Ruhi. I'm really lucky to have another granddaughter like you.)
Everyone again started having breakfast with a little chit chat.
"So, Aishu when is the farewell party?" Ayaan asked Aishwarya.
Aishu get excited and started talking leaving her breakfast,
"It is after one week. And you know what is special this year? They decided to do it like a prom party, unlike previous year where it was just food and some games. I'm so excited for it. It would be my first prom!! I was thinking of going to shopping today. Will you come with me didisa?" She asked Ruhanika.
"NO!!! YOU ARE NOT GOING TO THAT PROM PARTY!!" Every Rathore men roared in sync, including Abheer who happened to be enter the dining room at the same time and hear Aishwarya. Ruhanika became startled with the sudden shout, and ladies heaved a sigh, knowing what is about to happen.
Aishwarya became shocked and questioned getting up from her chair,
"WHAAATTT??? But why?? What is the problem now?"
"You are not going to prom." Abhiraj said in stern tone to which every Rathore men nodded.
"That is why I'm asking. Why can't I go to prom?" Aishu said getting irritated wigh their sudden change of mood.
"Becoz, you will have to go to the prom with your date and we want no boy near you, simple!" Ayaan said shrugging. Aishu looked at him in disbelief and then turned her shocking face to her father.
"Babasa, look what he is saying. Is he even serious? Of course people go to their prom with their dates. How can I go there without one? You tell him to shut his mouth and that I can go."
But to her disbelief, Vikram denied her saying,
"What he is saying is right, Aishu. We will not let any boy be your date. Therefore, you will not have any date. Which means you will not have any date to go to the prom. So what's meaning of going there. It's better if you don't go." Vikram said in duh tone, as if he is just not spoiling her plans of the day she is waiting for the month.
Ladies looked at the men who were agreeing to whatever Vikram is saying with shock face. Ruhanika was so confused but still find it cute seeing all the men getting possessive of their little babygirl.
"Yo...you can't do that, baba. Please this is my la...last University event. You ca..can't deny me to go." Aishu said with her cracking voice as her eyes started getting teary.
"Please dadasa, bhaisa at least you tell na that I can go." She said looking at Adhiraj and Abheer with hopeful teary eyes. Everyone's heart ached at her tears. They both felt something breaking inside them seeing her tears, so before they can melt to her hopeful eyes, they averted her gaze from her and
"Your baba is right, Aishu. You will not go to that party." Adhiraj said making tears slip from her eyes.
She looked at Abheer as he was last hope that could make everyone agree, but that hope broke when Abheer shook his head looking at her.
She sobbed audibly and left the dining room wiping her tears feeling angry on all men.
Ladies tried to stop her, but she quickly ran upstairs while crying.
They then turned towards men feeling angry making their innocent daughter cry.
"What was that? Are you people even serious? You're not letting her go just becoz she will need to have a date, really bhaisa, babasa!" Niharika said getting angry on the men. Rathore men gulped looking at their soulmates' angry gazes on them. Even Ruhanika was also glaring at the younger clan.
"Aur nahi toh kya. Mana ki aap logo ko uski chinta hai, pr yeh chinta uske khushi ke pal chhin le, yeh toh galat baat hai na. Kyu Vikram ji?" Meera said glaring at Vikram, becoz he gave the silliest reason to make her understand, making ladies annoyed.
(Right! We know that you are worried for her, but is it right when your worry snatch her happiness away from her. Ha Vikram ji?)
"Pr bhabhima, we cannot let her go with any starnger boy right, just for the sake of party. We don't even the character of the boy. How can we take guarantee that he will keep her safe during the party and not hurt her, which we will definitely not let happen, but still?" Vikrant said trying to defend the Men's side, which earn him a glare from Gayatri Devi.
"Kya humari beti itni kamzor hai ki usse kisi aadmi ki jaroorat pade safe rehne keliye. Kya wo khud ka khayaal nahi rakh sakti, khud ko defend nahi kar sakti agar koi uske saath battamizi kare?" She said in stern tone which seemed very angry.
(Is our daughter so weak that she cannot take care of herself? Does she need a man to protect and defend herself?)
"Pr dadisa jane dena hi kyu hai just party keliye kisi ladke ke saath? Aap chinta mat kijiye main aur Ayaan usse mast ghumne jayenge. Leave this prom party, anyways it will so crowded with so many students. How will she be able to enjoy there, instead we all can plan trip for her after her graduation ceremony. We will go for 4-5 day trip and all things will be done according to her taste, right bhaisa?" Abhiraj said to which Abheer immediately replied,
"Right! I will also go with her to make it up to her. She will forget about the party till tomorrow, if we tell her about this plan. Don't worry, she will be fine." Abheer said making Rathore men again nod in agreement.
(But grandma, why should we let her go with some boy just becoz of a party? You don't worry, Ayaan and I will plan a fun trip for her.)
Ruhanika looked at him in shock and said with disbelief tone,
"Seriously Abheer ji, this was the last thing that was expected from you." Her statement made everyone stifle their laugh at Abheer's expression who looked embarrassed. She continued saying,
"You men don't know but every girl really dreams for first prom or may we can say date since prom culture is not popular in India. She plans it from the day she starts understanding things called love. You people cannot just go around telling her to not go to that party, and arrange any trip to make it up to her. It will surely not work." Ruhanika said.
"I know you all siblings are each other's friends as well, but some masti can be done only with some certain people. You all should understand that she is not a teenager anymore, she is in her twenties. You binding her from exploring new things would not be appreciated by her. I know you care for her and about your possessive nature, but it should not snatch away her happiness, instead of making her feel loved with that. And it's her last college event, let her enjoy. No one knows when she will get to have fun like this after she gets job." Gayatri Devi said making all men go in deep thinking.
They now understood that they should not bind her just becoz of some of their fears, and instead support her in her happiness too just the way they do in her problems, and keep all her problems miles away from and protect her with all their will.
"You're right maasa, we were thinking really wrong and made her sad without any reason, just bocoz of our fear that someone else will be the reason of her happiness instead of us. I literally went into the phase of imagining a boy wedding my babygirl and taking her away from me, just coz of mere thought of her prom date. I should apologise to her making her cry." Vikram said in a little sad voice. Ladies smile at his words that warmed their heart. Of course, it is nightmare for any father to send a piece of his heart, his daughter away from himself.
Vikram got up from his seat going towards Aishu's room. Everyone smiled at him and others too said sorry for behaving so irrationally before.
After sometime, as they sat in the living room to hear from Vikram if he made it up to her or not, they heard a loud squeal of Aishu. They turned towards stairs only to see Aishu running down the stairs happily with Vikram walking behind her having smile on his face.
"Careful Aishu!" Abheer shouted when he saw her almost trip in last stairs but that didn't make her stop and she ran into his embrace happily. Abheer smiled at her before wrapping his hands around her small frame and caressing her head. He kissed at the side of her head before pulling she can pull out of his hug.
"Thank you, thank you so much bhaisa!" Sha said smiling happily and then went towards her dadasa. She hugged everyone one by one thanking them for allowing her, and lastly sat in between Ayaan and Abhiraj.
"Once again, thank you for letting me go. I understand your concern regarding boys, but don't worry I will not let any other boy enter in my life without you guys' permission." She said smiling cutely.
Everyone thought how mature their little babygirl has become. This brought tears to Vikram's eyes but he quickly wiped them, before anyone can notice. But as expected Meera noticed that who was sitting beside him and squeezed his hand in much needed confort. Vikram looked at her and she smiled at him when he kissed her intertwined hand.
