Next day

After breakfast, men went to their work. While ladies were also busy with their daily chores.

Ruhanika decided to meet Sakshi today at the cafe. Coz at this rate, she will go mad. So, she decided to meet Sakshi and pour her heart out in front of her, knowing that her secrets will be always safe with her.

She came downstairs getting ready in simple anarkali.

This is her definition of simple!! 🙄
Like guys these are the ones who made us feel poor!!!

"Um maasa, today Sakshi and I planned to meet at our regular spot. Sorry, I didn't ask you before. But can I go? Will you look over Abhaya?" Ruhanika asked coming towards the ladies who were in Home temple, with Abhaya.

"Of course, baccha. You go without any tension. We are here for Abhaya. You will feel good too after meeting your friend. And tell Sakshi hello from us." Meera said. Ruhanika smiled and gave Abhaya to Aditi who was nearest to her.

She bid them bye and went outside.
She called Sakshi to pick her up, as they don't want anyone to suspect her seeing in Royal car.

"Where are you going, baisa?" Shekhwat asked coming out of nowhere startling Ruhanika.

"You scared me bhaisa!" She said keeping her hand on chest.

"I'm sorry. But where are you going? Tell me, I will drop you." He said going to take the car keys.

"No need, bhaisa. I'm going out with my friend. She is coming to take me. You don't worry. I'll be fine." Ruhanika said stopping him.

"But...."
"Okay, I'll get going." She said moving towards the gate, when she saw Sakshi standing there, waving at her.

Shekhawat immediately called Abheer going towards one of their cars they use to follow someone.

Abheer picked up the call.
"Hukum sa, Ruhanika baisa went out with her friend, Sakshi." He said getting on the bike while his team followed him in a car.

"What?!"
"Yes. She just left the mansion. But didn't go in our car. Her friend picked her up from our gate. I thought to call you since, you didn't tell me about her plan." He said through his earpiece.

"Good. I was uninformed. Keep close eye on her." He said cutting the call.

Abheer sighed not knowing what happened to his Ruhi in just one day. He again got back to work, seeing the files piled in front of him.

Sakshi and Ruhanika came to the cafe near the University to which they usually go to.

They went inside and oredered their coffee before.

"Now tell me, why did you call to meet so urgently? We were meeting tomorrow anyways, right? What happened?" She asked Ruhanika.

Ruhanika looked with her eyes filled with tears, face red due to controlling them. Sakshi became worried suddenly seeing her cry.

"Ev....everything is me...messed up Sak...Sakshi. Everthing is mess. I do....don't even know what to do anymore?" She said sobbing letting her tears fall.

"Tell me clearly, Ruh. And don't cry. You were so strong, even after getting Abhay's news. What made you so vulnerable now?" She asked worried, holding her hands and squeezing to give her comfort.

"I f....felll i...in lo...ove, Sakshi!! With Abhee...Abheer ji!!" She told hiccuping lightly. Sakshi's eyes widen hearing her.

"WHAT?!" She whisper shouted, making Ruhanika more cry.

She immediately got up from her chair, taking seat beside her. She gave her a comforting hug, rubbing her back. Sakshi let her cry sometime.

She pulled away when Ruhanika seemed to calm a bit.

"I always knew something like this would happen." Ruhanika frowned at her words.
"Wh..what do you mean?"

"You weren't seeing what I was seeing Ruh. I know something must be going on, or else why would hukum sa of Rajasthan will suddenly becomes your friend?"
"I'm not getting you!"
"What I mean is Hukum loves you too Ruh!!! Ruhanika looked at her with wide eyes.

"What are you saying Sakshi? I'm telling that I love him, not that he loves me." Ruhanika said.

"I heard that. But why would you fall for him suddenly? His actions, his behaviour was the reason, right?" Ruhanika nodded.

"Now think carefully of the events that happened till now.
First of all, him asking to befriend you. Then, daily dropping you to university.
It's okay, being friends seems like normally anyone would do. But, why would a king of Rajasthan start dropping someone daily, from the very first day he met him / her?" She said making Ruhanika think carefully.

"No one does that right? Plus, University is in totally opposite way of his company.
Second, why would the person who was only soft for his family, would become so caring towards this new friend??
He even was excited to come for you check up when you were pregnant, Ruh.

After your accident, he was the one who stayed with you in the hospital, not anyone of his family.
He took care of you. He brought you to his home, his family treats you like their own. He always spends time with you. Your daughter is most closest to his heart. She loves him too!!! Just the way you do!!!

Now tell me, who does this to your new friend, if that friend is not someone special?! If that friend is not the person he loves?!

And don't tell me you were not feeling anything while all that was happening?  I saw you the day when I met you first after coming from Jodhpur. You were so happy, whenever you were with all of them. Your eyes literally used to shine whenever you looked at him. You are feeling safe when you were with him, aren't you? You even told me how much you missed Abheer ji, when he was not being at home, for some project. What was this then?!

He loves you too, Ruhi!!
That's why he made you fall in love, again, unknowingly when you were not ready to give life another chance!!" Ruhanika looked at her with tears flowing.

"He lo....loves m..me??" She asked with teary eyes making Sakshi nod with a smile.

Ruhanika hid her face in her hands crying. Sakshi hugged her feeling so happy for her friend.

"Why are you crying now? Weren't you afraid of what he might think when he gets to know you love him? Now, you know the answer, he will love you more! when he gets to know gou love him. I'm so happy for you Ruhi, I'm so happy!!" She said smiling and patting her back.

Hearing her made her cry more.

How can he love me?? His family is planning to marry him to someone else. How can he even love me?

She pulled out the hug shaking her head,
"He wo...won't!" Sakshi frowned.
"Huh?"
"He won't love me, Sakshi." She said, sadness clear in her voice.

"And why so?"
"His family has selected some girl for him." She said with teary eyes. Sakshi was shocked listening to her.

"What?" Ruhanika nodded.
"I heard that day that maasa has chosen a girl for him. She was brimming with happiness talking about her. She said she is a lovely girl and perfect for Abheer ji." Tears flowed and flowed.

"But, does hukum know that? Does he agree to that? Coz, I can tell with guarantee he loves you." Sakshi said.

"I don't know. I don't know."
"Leave it on him then. He will convince his family to accept you. They already treat you like a family. They will accept you as his wife too!" Sakshi said making Ruhanika shake her head.

"No, Sakshi. I cannot do this. Not again!"
"What do you mean by again?" Sakshi asked.

"You knew what happened with Abhay and me right?" Sakshi realized what Ruhanika was conveying.

"If he loves me, he will fight for me with his family. He will do anything if they don't agree. He will leave them if they don't agree." She said last part whispering.

Sakshi squeezed her hands to provide her some comfort.

"I did the same with my family, Sakshi. But, worse part was that my Abhay lived with that guilt till his last breath!! He blamed himself for me leaving my family!
I'm in that position now. And I cannot bear doing that to that family. Especially after all they have given me is love and only love!! How can I be the home breaker, again?!" She said crying.

Sakshi's eyes filled with tears too hearing the harsh words.

"You are not a home breaker, Ruh, you are not."
"I'm and if I confess my feelings to Abheer ji, I'll again be one!!"

"What are you going to do then?" Sakshi asked wiping her tears.

Ruhanika wiped her tears saying,
"Nothing!! My love for Abheer ji will always be caged in my heart!! It will not be known to any other person, other than you.
I'm going to my apartment tomorrow anyways. I will compose myself, when I'll be far away from him. And even if he loves me, he will have to forget me and ma...rry the gir....l his family wants him to m...arry!

I will assume we were never meant to be together, in the first place!" She said with heavy voice.

"Don't do this, Ruhi. You can give yourself a chance. Abhaya will get a great father in hukum too!" Ruhanika shook her head sobbing.

"N...no, she will not! She w...will be just my child for life time. I won't let that happy family get destroyed for my selfish desire to give my baby family!!" Ruhanika said.

"I will go to Jaisalmer day after tomorrow." Sakshi's head snapped at her hearing the words.

"I will ask for forgiveness from babasa, ma, dadi, everyone. So what if my baby won't have a father, I can still give her a big family! Hope so the distance between us will put the fire of craving love in my heart at ease!!" Ruhanika said hugging Sakshi. Sakshi's tears too fall, making a sob left her mouth.

Her friend did not deserve this!!

"And please Sakshi, promise me you will not do anything to let Abheer ji know about my love. Please I request you. Bohot jiddi hai woh. Woh jamin asman ek kardenge muze unka banane keliye agar unhe pata chala toh! Waada kar tu kuch bhi nahi batayegi unhe!!" She said keeping her hand in front of Sakshi.

Sakshi sighed that now she was of no use for her friend's happy life.

"Waada raha!" She said hesitantly keeping her hand on Ruhanika's.

(He is very stubborn. He will go to any extent to make me his, if he gets to know about my love. Promise me you will not tell him anything.)

"You know, he is taking me out for dinner tonight." Ruhanika said slowly.
Sakshi just looked at her whose tears again started filling in her eyes.

"You know, I still think you should tell him. What if he convinces his family for you? You will never know until you try." She said rubbing her back.

Ruhanika shook her head wiping her tears,
"I've always been unlucky in case of love. I don't even want to take risk, when there is even 1% chance that things can go south!" She said firmly.
Sakshi sighed not knowing what she should do to make her friend happy.

After drinking their coffee, they paid the bill and moved out to go to their scooty.

"Thank you so much Sakshi. Since, I was on the verge of bursting out. You have been my anchor since the day we met. I can never be more glad to have you as my friend cum sister!!" She said holding her hands with a teary smile.

Sakshi eyes too became moist hearing that making her slap her arms,
"You idiot stop making me cry!" She said wiping her own tears making Ruhanika chuckle.

"I'm lucky too to have you as my friend! Now don't make me emotional. Stand in front of the cafe, I'll come taking my scooty from the parking." She said moving to parking exit.

Ruhanika was standing in front of the cafe waiting for Sakshi, when a boy with black hoodie and mask bumped with her making her purse fall.

"I'm so sorry, mam. I didn't see you. I'm so sorry. I didn't hurt you, right?" He said moving a little back.

"Oh, it's okay. Don't worry, I'm fine." She said bending to pick things in her purse.

"Let me help you." He said crouching down and helping her collecting the things.

But Ruhanika didn't see that while doing that, he sneaked something inside her purse.

"Once again, I'm sorry." He said as they both got up after collecting everything.
"It's okay. It was not a big deal." She said.

"Where are you from? Are you tourist? Coz, you definitely don't look Indian." She said coz of his different accent.

"Oh, yes. I'm from Italy. My name is Xavier. Nice meeting you." He said.
"Ruhanika Thakur here. Pleasure meeting you too." She said shaking his hand.

"Okay then, I'll get going. See you soon." He said going from there.
"Huh? See you soon?" Ruhanika frowned, looking at his retreating back.

But a honk broke her trance.
"Ruh, chal yaar. Pichhe wale jaan le lengi meri aur rukaya toh." She said making Ruhanika hop on and racing out from there.

The man removed the hood of his hoodie and mask huffing.
"Hhff, it's so much hot in here." He dialed a no.
"Hello, big bro. My work is done. Now don't you dare disturb my nap, when I get home." He said cutting the call making the man on the other side chuckle.

"Let's see now this time whether you come or not Mr.Rathore!!"

Sakshi stopped her scooty out of Rathore's gate.
Ruhanika got down turning towards her.

"Come on. Let's go inside. Maasa was telling you hello. You should greet her too before going." She said.

"Not a bad idea though. Plus, who doesn't want to be in good books of Rathores." She said grinning making Ruhanika smile too.

They both went inside the mansion to see, others already present in the living room.

"Ghani Khmma, hukum." Sakshi greeted them.

"Khamma Ghani, beta. Come sit. Have some tea." Meera said patting the place beside her.

"All are already home. I must have been too late na. Sorry, I didn't even check the time." Ruhanika said.

"It's alright, baccha. No need to say sorry. And you go get ready. Abheer is coming at 6.30 right?" Niharika said making her nod.

"Yeah. I will go now." She said nodding at them and Sakshi and going upstairs.

"How are you Sakshi beta? We are meeting after long time." Gayatri Devi said.

"I'm all fine, dadi hukum. In fact, how are you all?"
"We are doing great. All happy and healthy." Sakshi smiled at that.

"You wait here, I'll go and ask Rakhi to bring you tea." Meera said getting up.

"No need, kakisa." Sakshi said.
"Are aise kasie. Ayi ho to kuch lena padega. Do min ruko, abhi ban jayegi chai." She said making her shut.

(Why so? Have something when you've come. Just 2 min, and tea will be here.)

"You wait, maasa. I'll tell her." Aishu said getting up.
"Can I come too?" Sakshi asked.
"Yeah sure. Let's go, I'll also come." Aditi said and those 3 made their way to kitchen.

They were talking while Aditi was making tea for Sakshi. Just then, Sakshi's phone ringed.

"It's Prof. Shastri's call. I'll attend it." She said making her way out.

While picking the phone, she didn't see someone coming and bumped into him.
The person was none other than.....
Reyan!!
Sakshi's phone dropped from her hands when they bumped.
Unfortunately, coffee in his hands spil on both of them.

"What the hell??!!"
"Shit!!" He said wiping off the hot coffee which mostly fell on his hand, as he has folded his sleeves.

Aditi and Aishu came there when they heard the cup breaking sound.

He immediately looked at her to check whether she burnt herself, but luckily it fell on her dress, only a little.

"Are you okay? You're not hurt right?" He asked genuinely, ignoring the burning sensation on his hands.

"Can't you walk properly? Why do you always have to collide with me? You broke my phone, idiot!" She said picking up the phone. Though it was not broke, it was just not working.

"I'm sorry. I didn't see you coming." Reyan said feeling sorry.

"Ohh why would you see huh? Others will make their way when you walk na! Just like a king you are! Do you even know that I was waiting for an important call? And when it came, you dear lord broke my phone. It's not working now. You even ruined my dress." She said trying to wipe the stain.

Reyan's eyes became cold hearing her words.
"I alredy said I'm sorry. I'll buy you new phone if you want." He said in his cold voice making her shiver hearing his changed voice. He told her genuinely feeling guilty for breaking her phone.

But, she interpreted it in wrong way due to her anger.
"Ohh hello, yeh apne paiso ka ghamand muze mat dikhana. Apne pas hi rakho apne paise. Sadu admi!! Aye bade muze paise dikhane, huh!" She said last sentence wiping her dress.

(Excuse me mister. Don't show me this attitude of your money. Keep them to yourself. Sadu!! What does he even think of himself to show me his money!)

And that was the trigger point for Reyan,

"Miss.Sakshi if I'm saying sorry, doesn't mean that you will say whatever you want!!
I was genuinely saying, if I did the mistake of breaking your phone, I was willing to fix it. Not to show off my money!!
I'm not of those people who like to show off their money.

And, I was just checking if you burnt yourself with coffee or not. But, it looks like you don't get burn, you just burn others.....with your words!!" He spat angrily. Sakshi stood their shock hearing his sudden outburst. He was fuming and staring right back in her eyes with his red eyes.

She lowered her gaze feeling scared to look into his eyes. That's when she noticed that he had a big burn marks on his hand.

"Yo...you bu...rnt yourself." She said stuttering trying to hold his hand, which he jerked off.

"Don't show your fake care now! Coz you don't care!!" He whisper-shouted, so that his voice cannot reach in the living room.

He pull out whatever cash in his pocket was, and kept it in her hand.

"Repair your phone or buy yourself a phone. If they are less, ask for more and if they are more, then burn them. Coz I too don't care!!" He said.

He grabbed her by her biceps saying,
"And remember this one thing for life time, speak after thinking twice!! Coz words cut deeper!!
You wouldn't even know if you've opened anyone's unhealed wounds!!
And you do need this advice!! Coz you spit fire everytime you talk!!" He left jerking her. Tears filled her eyes with his words.

"Hope so we will not cross our paths more often. You wouldn't want to see this sadu face, right??" He said sarcastically leaving from there.
Sakshi kept looking at his retreating figure with guilt.

Aditi and Aishu came to her after he left.

"You're okay, right mam? Come here. You will step on broken cup." Aishu said pulling her aside.

"Aish...warya, h....he burnt himself. G..go and treat him first. G..go." She said  looking in the direction he went. Aditi signaled her, making Aishu nod and went behind Reyan.

"You come didisa. Sit here." Aditi said making her sit on the chair and went to grab some water.

I didn't even look at him for once, just kept shouting. His whole forearm was red due to burn from coffee, yet he was concerned for me. And I just kept shouting on him for a mere phone. How more of a fool I can be!!

Sakshi thought. A tear slipped from her eyes remembering the pain and anger in his eyes while saying those words.

"Here, drink some water." Aditi said. Sakshi nodded drinking some sips.

She got up,
"Thank you. I'll get going now. Sorry, you had to see that." She said awkwardly.

"It's nothing. Please don't feel sad. He must be stressed to burst on you like that. Otherwise, Reyan bhaisa is always go to person for everyone!" Aditi said to assure her.

Sakshi lightly nodded before moving out to living room followed by Aditi, who told some maids to clean the mess.

"Are you done already? Aditi didn't you offer some snacks?" Niharika asked.

"No. I drank my tea the...there only." She said eyeing Aditi making her nod.

"Actually, I got some urgent call, so I've to leave now. If you all excuse me. Good bye." She said grabbing her purse and moving out of the mansion.

Meera frowned asking,
"Did something happen? Why was she looking so anxious while talking?"

"It's nothing, badi maasa. Don't worry." Aditi said sitting beside her.
