Ruhanika decided to ask the questions that were lingering in her mind since the revelation, while they were having tea on the breakfast table.
"Umm can I ask something?" Her words gained everyone's attention.
"Of course beta ji. Though we have idea what you want to ask." Vikram said eyeing Abheer who was unbothered about it.
"If you all already wanted me as Abheer ji's wife, then what was that scolding before? Why were you fighting with Abheer ji?" She asked to no one particular, damanding answer to her question.
"Umm actually it was Abheer's plan." Niharika said with teasing eyes and smirk to Abheer. Ruhanika looked at Abheer with wide eyes.
"Aapka plan?!" She exclaimed shocked.
"Matlab bhalehi sabko pehle se pata tha, tab bhi apne in sabko natak karne bola muze pareshan karne keliye?! Apko pata bhi hai meri jaan atak gayi thi gale mein? Aur ab muze chalta hai ki yeh sab majak tha? Muze rote hue dekhna chahte the kya aap?" She said standing up. She squinted her eyes glaring at him and keeping her hands on her waist.
(Your plan!?
So even after everyone knowing about everything, you told them to act, for what? To trouble me? Do you even know how scared I was? And now I'm getting to know that all this was just an act! Did you want to see me crying?)
Abheer was about to explain but that's when...
"Ouu!!" Reyan smacked Ruhanika's head lightly.
"Hey!!" Abheer immediately stood up rubbing her head where Reyan smacked.
"Maar kyu raha hai use, gadhe?" He said rubbing her head even though the pain was already gone.
(Why are you hitting her idiot? )
"Hana bhaisa. Mene kya kiya jo aap muze maar rahe ho?" She said cutely glaring at him.
(Yes, why are you hitting me bhaisa?)
"To fir kya karu? Kuch sune bina hi kuch bhi bolne lagi. Puri baat jane bina hi kaise Abheer ko sunane lagi. Tu kya use janti nahi? Kuch bina soche karta hai woh?" Reyan said making Ruhanika realise. She looked at Abheer conveying her apology with eyes, to which he nodded. Then, he turned towards Reyan,
(Then what should I do, when you start talking rubbish without even thinking? Don't you know Abheer? Does he do even a single thing without any reason?)
"Toh yeh thik tarah se bhi bata sakta hai na. Marne ki kya jaroorat hai?" Abheer said scolding him. He rolled his eyes in response,
(Still you can explain it nicely? Was there any need to hit?)
"Hum mein chalta hai yeh sab. Tu ab explain kar usse. Don't divert from the topic." Abheer huffed at his nonchalant response.
(It's fine with us. You tell her now. Don't divert from the topiv.)
"I'm not diverting from the topic. Aur ayenda se usse mara toh yaad rakhna. Ayaan ko pata hai na kya kya saza mili hai Adu-Aishu marne ke wajah se! Tuze bhi dene mein aage picche nahi dekhunga main!" Abheer said sternly. Reyan and Ayaan widen their eyes at his sentence.
(And dare hit her again. You remember what kind of punishments Ayaan has got for hitting Adu-Aishu, right? I won't hesitate to do the same with you.)
"Bhaisa, why are you involving me in this topic? I don't hit them anymore now." Ayaan whined.
"I was not saying to punish you, I was just saying that Reyan should be ready to face them if he hits Ruh again!" Abheer said glaring at Reyan.
"Of course, I won't hit her again. Don't need to get all worked up." Reyan said huffing. His gazes fell on Adu-Aishu who teased him showing their tongues. He scrunched his nose and showed them toungue too which made them giggle.
"Calm down. It's alright. I was wrong here and he was right in correcting me. He is my brother anyway. Itna to hak hai unka." Ruhanika whispered to him, keeping her hand on Abheer's chest. His heart started beating like crazy feeling her touch. The anger was long gone. She just smiled at him when their eyes met. His hand instinctively wrapped around her waist, making her feel butterflies in her tummy. Abheer can clearly see blush coating her face.
Others present in the room were in the awe of the new couple.
(He has that right.)
Someone cleared his throat making them both pull away from each other. Abheer came back to his usual calm face while Ruhanika was still looking like red tomato, all red!
"Well, we should explain her, right Abheer?" Niharika teased smirking. Abheer so wanted to roll his eyes at his playful kaki, but controlled as to not disrespect.
"Of course kakisa, of course." Niharika chuckled at his annoyed response.
Then Niharika herself started narrating what happened in the morning.
In morning when Abheer came after leaving Abhaya with Ruhanika
Abheer descended and saw his family sipping on their morning beverage in living room. Surprisingly, younger clan was present too.
"Good morning." He greeted everyone.
"Good morning beta. Where are Ruhi and Abhaya? Did they sleep well last night? " Meera asked concerned.
"Yes maa, they both slept well. Ruhanika is getting princess ready. I come first coz I want to tell you guys something." Abheer said.
"Yes, bete. Speak, we are all ears." Vikram said. All were attentively looking at him.
"Well, its a good news actually." Abheer said making them frown.
Abheer said looking at his mother.
"Ruhanika maan gayi hai." Everyone frowned as to what he was referring. Meera understanding the meaning behind his words abruptly stood looking at him with a big grin on her face.
"Sach?!" She happily asked. Abheer nodded making her squeal and take Abheer in hug.
"I'm so happy. Maa Kaali ka shukra hai. Ab toh khushiya manane ka wakt hai." She said making him nod smiling. First, Abheer smiling was kinda shock to everyone and then they were confused about Meera's happiness.
(Ruhanika agreed.)
(Really?!)
(I'm so happy. Thank god. It's time to celebrate now.)
"Jiji, kya baat hai? Apne kuch bola tha kya Ruhi ko jo maan gayi?" Niharika asked getting up.
(What it is jiji? Did you tell her to do something that she agreed to do?)
"Bola nahi tha, chaha tha, hum sab ne!" She said grinning.
"Kya chaha tha hum sab ne?" Aishu asked frowning. That's when Gayatri Devi's and Niharika's batti lit up. (😅)
(Not told, wished! All of us!)
(What did we wish maa?)
"Really! Are you talking about what am I thinking now?" Gayatri Devi asked Abheer shocked. A wide smile appeared on her face when Abheer nodded.
"Haye, mera baccha!! Mubarak ho!" She said. She came towards him to hug him. Meera and Niharika too hug each other rocking side to side, smiling.
While the other Rathores were confused about their little celebration.
(Oh my boy! Congratulations! )
"Will anyone enlighten us what is going on?" Adhiraj asked.
Abheer took Niharika in side hug when she came towards him and said,
"Dadasa, apki mani huyi beti officially iss ghar ki beti hone keliye maan gayi hai! Ruhanika ne muze accept kar liya hai. Humari Ruhi iss Rajasthan ki agli Hukum Ranisa banane keliye tayar hogayi hai!" All stood up, shock and happy hearing him.
"Sach mein? Didisa maan gayi?" Aishu and Aditi asked in sync. Abheer nodded making the younger clan hoot. All started congratulating each other with wide smiles on their faces.
(Dadasa, your assumed daughter is officially ready to be your daughter. Ruhanika has accepted my proposal.)
(Really? She agreed for that!?)
"Akhir kar mera yaar ab ghodi chadhega!" Reyan commented embracing Abheer making everyone laugh.
(Finally, my brother's wish is fulfilling.)
"But, there is one more thing I want to tell you." Abheer said
"What? Are there any terms and conditions applied?" Vikrant asked playfully making Vikram smack his head. He winced glaring at his brother. Younger clan laughed at their exchange.
"Nope. But, listen to me first....." Abheer said.
"While talking to her, I got to know that she is thinking that maasa has selected some other girl for me." Abheer's words were confusing to others.
"What do you mean by that? Why would I select someone else, when I was eagerly waiting for Ruhanika's approval." Meera asked.
"Yeah, I know you won't do that. But I guess Ruhanika heard you talking about my marriage with Ridhima kaki and Priya dadi!" The ladies remembered the day when Agnihotri's came over.
"Yes, Meera was talking about your wedding, but she was talking about Ruhanika only." Gayatri Devi said to which Meera agreed.
"I understood that, but Ruh is thinking that maasa has selected someone else for me and is now really skeptical that what would your reaction be when you all get to know about our truth. Coz, apparently maasa was sounding really happy while talking about her this-illusionary daughter-in-law." This sentence earned a fit of laughter from everyone and Abheer chuckled too.
"Dhat teri ki!! Yaha toh jiskeliye itne sapne saja rahe hai, woh un sapno ko janane ke bawajud yeh nahi samaj payi ki woh usi keliye hai." Niharika said grinning.
(Gosh! She didn't even reslise that all this was for her only!)
"Baat toh bilkul bhi sahi kahi hai aapne. Pr ab hume karna kya hai?" Vikrant asked.
(True!)
"Kya hum bhabhima pr prank kare? Bada maja ayega. Chhotusa, jyada nahi. Bas thoda start mein dikhayenge ki aap log ready nahi ho bhaisa aur unke rishte keliye aur aapne kisi aur ko pasand kiya hai bhaisa keliye, aur baad mein khud hi bata denge ki select ki hui ladki kon hai. Kya kehte hai aap sab?" Ayaan asked mischievously.
(Can we prank on her! Just a little bit. It will be fun. Just you all show that you all are not ready for this repation in the start and chose someone else for bhaisa and then you yourself reveal that the girl you selected was her only. What say?]
"Abheer kya kehna hai apka?" Vikram asked.
(What do you think Abheer?)
"Plan to aisa hi kuch hai." Abheer said deep in thoughts. While younger clan stood there with mouth wide-open.
(That's what plan is!)
"Woah!! I never thought bhaisa will agree on pranking bhabhima! My goodness, today must be the most luckiest day of my life!!" Ayaan commented dramatically.
"What is the reason behind it bhaisa?" Abhiraj asked Abheer as he knows his bhaisa never does anything without any meaningful reason. Well, Abhiraj is a good observer and listener than a speaker, just like his bhaisa. His bhaisa's personality has a great impact on his life.
"I have seen that Ruhanika has been really insecure about her relations after what happened with her family. The Ruhanika you saw in the Rathore mansion was totally different from the Ruhanika I was seeing the month or 2 before.
She was more lively and happy in Rathore Mansion than before. Maybe that was coz of her husband's death and loneliness she was in, in the months before I met her. You all might don't know but, she is really possessive of her loved ones. It's not like she doesn't want them to be with anyone else, but she would always want to be with them. You see she would always ask dadasa about his medicines, make him some healthy sweets, daily spend sometime with babasa and kakasa or sometime accompany them in morning walk, cook with maasa and kakisa in kitchen, help dadisa in puja, her afternoon talks with Adu and Aishu, snack time after Ayaan and Abhiraj come home, at least once in a day she would check on Reyan what is he doing, is he home or not, had his lunch or not. She even makes sure that she had made one extra cup of tea for Shekhawat in the evening. Even Rakhi kaki has become her kitchen companion now.
This is her kind of possessiveness. She wants that her people not all time, but at least spend some moments with her in a day.
After knowing that maasa fancies someone with me, she was suppressing her feelings about me. But yesterday, she confessed when she realised that I already know about her feelings and was just waiting for her to confess.
That's why I want you all to act that you are not accepting her as the daughter-in-law of Rathores and my wife!
I will obviously stand by her side, but you all should act opposite." Abheer stated.
"But what will this do beta?" Meera asked.
"Seeing Abheer standing by her side, even being against his family will give her strength to overcome her fear of losing her loved ones maasa." Reyan interjected before Abheer could reply.
"Right. She will at least take some stand in that arguement. Either by trying to convince you all to accept her or by trying to convince me for choosing you all. In both ways she will let out her insecurities and in the end she will get what she wish, a complete family of hers!" Abheer completed.
"For that you all need to be a little strict while arguing and scolding okay? She should not get suspicious of your great acting skills." Ayaan said earing a smack from Abhiraj. He whined but Abhiraj didn't pay ang heed to it.
"Well that is true. You all should be a little harsh towards me and her for choosing each other. Kakisa would play a better act here." Abheer said last line with a smirk.
Niharika who looked confused asked while pointing at herself,
"Me? What will I do?"
"Well, your sarcastic comments should form part of the act kakisa!" Reyan said knowing his friend who chuckled.
Niharika gasped hearing him and went to grab his ear in anger.
"You little? How dare you say that? Do you imply I am sadistic who loves seeing people in misery, huh?" She twisted Reyan's ear more which pained him.
"Ahh, kakisa dukhta hai! Maine aisa toh nahi kaha tha. Mera kehne ka matlab toh bas yeh tha ki aap hi itni acchi actung kar sakti ho, baaki toh bas kacche limbu hai. Now, please leave my ear. It's paining!" Reyan said holding her hand. She left it huffing. Others chuckled at their cute banter.
(Ahh, it's paining kakisa! I didn't say that. What I mean was that only you can do such better acting, others are not that good.)
"But Abheer you should be aware that this will make Ruhi cry a lot! And I don't want my daughter crying." Vikram said.
"And it's really difficult to stop her crying." Vikrant said looking at others to which they nod.
"I know that all those things will make her cry babasa. But if those things will make her free of her emotional insecurities and mental fears, then her crying won't stop me to do the needful." Abheer said. All elders looked at Abheer proudly.
Many people are ready to suffer for their loved ones. But it's really rare to make their loved one suffer for their own benefit and suffer with them! It needs a lot of courage and patience, coz ultimately you suffer more seeing them suffering and being unable to do so!
So, the Rathores were really proud of their son for choosing the hard way of love instead of easy one.
"Okay, so this is how you should act..." Abheer then started explaining them what to do and which topics they should bring up during the arguments. However, the brother-sister part was not on his plan of action.(😅)
Present
Ruhanika looked at Abheer with teary eyes. Her admiration towards Abheer has increased multifolds.
She held Abheer's one hand in her both,
"Thank you so much! Thank you for being there for me." She said in voice heavy with emotions.
Abheer gave her a small smile and kissed her hands,
"You are always welcome my Ruh!"
"And I'm sorry to for accusing you earlier." She apologised.
"It's alright. I know you are impulsive sometimes." Abheer said playfully to lighten her mood. She narrowed her eyes at him, and huffed pretending to be a little mad, but then smiled turning to the other side.
"Well, I'm so happy today. Festivities are starting soon. Aur usme bhi itni badi khush khabri mil gayi. Humare Abheer aur Ruhanika ki shaadi hogi jald hi." Niharika said breaking their moment.
(I'm so happy today. Festivities are starting soon. In between all that, we got this good news. Our Abheer and Ruhanika will get married soon.)
"Sach kaha tumne, Niha. Jis din se humari gudiya aur Ruhi humare ghar mein aye hai, har din khushi se bit raha hai. Dono sachhi mein Lakshmi ke kadmo se aye hai hamare ghar mein." Meera said happily hugging Abhaya who was in her arms. Abhaya too leaned on her shoulder feeling the motherly warmth and love.
(I agree. Since the day our gudiya and Ruhi enter home, every day passes with happiness. Both really came into Rathoee Mansion in form of Lakshmi.)
"Ekdum sahi kaha hai aapne Meera. Maa Kaali se bas ab yahi prarthana hai ki yeh sab aisa hi bana rahe." Vikram said praying to Goddess Kaali followed by everyone.
(Exactly. Now all this remains like this is the only wish to Maa Kaali!)
Meera felt Abhaya's nappy a little heavy.
"Beta Ruhi, I guess gudiya need a diaper change. She seems to be a little fussy too. I guess she is hungry so go and feed her."
"Ji maa." Ruhanika said getting up from her place taking Abhaya in her arms. But, this time the word maa felt more hers, as if officially being Meera's daughter gave her more peace.
Ruhanika left the living room filled with all excitement of younger clan and elders too. The men didn't even realise that it's already their office time and they are being late for their important meetings due to all this burst of happiness.
Abheer left the living room on the cue and followed Ruhanika too her room. He thought that no one noticed him leaving the room, but the moment he turned his back to them, all gazes were only on his movements.
"Well, bhaisa is already so whipped for bhabhima. I can't even imagine how whipped he will be after their marriage." Aditi said making everyone laugh at her comment.
In Ruhanika's Room
Ruhanika after coming to her room changed baby's diaper first and then sat to feed her as she was not fed since she woke up. While feeding she heard the knock on the door and covered herself before the door opened.
She looked up to see Abheer entering. She blushed a little seeing him and kept her gaze on her lap where Abhaya was covered with her pallu. Abheer thought to go out but then he saw her blushing. He understood that she was not uncomfortable and just shy, so he entered the room with a small smile on his face.
He sat beside her on the bed. There was a comfortable silence in the room while Abhaya was getting fed. After done, she peeked into her pallu to see that Abhaya has already fell asleep. So, she cleaned her mouth with her saree only before settling her on the bed in between them. Abheer patted on her chest softly to make her feel safe with someone's presence while Ruhanika was buttoning up her blouse backfacing him.
She turned around looking at them both with a smile. Feeling her gaze on himself, Abheer kissed Abhaya's forehead before shifting his attention to Ruhanika.
He looked at her lovingly, trying to fill himself with every detail of hers. Meanwhile, Ruhanika was doing the same. But in between her eyes started becoming a little teary remembering the happenings in the living room, still having a beautiful smile on her face.
"What happened? Wapas se yeh ganga-jamuna?" Abheer asked wiping her tears. Ruhanika chuckled at his comment and shook his head,
"Yeh toh bas khushi ke aasu hai."
"Konsi khushi aapko rula rahi hai meri Ruh?" He asked holding her hands in his both.
(Why're you crying again?)
(These are tears of happiness.)
(Which happiness is making you cry?)
"Aap! Ab toh sabhi khushiya apse hai Abheer ji. Kabhi nahi socha tha aisa firse mehsoos kar paungi, ek complete family! Pr jis din se aap meri jindagi mein aaye, ek din bhi aisa nahi tha ki main smile ke saath sone nahi gayi.
Shayad bohot pehle sehi main aapse pyaar karne lagi thi, just Abhay ke baad woh raste pe kabhi chalne ka socha nahi tha toh un feelings ko pehchaan nahi payi! Aur yeh parivaar, pehle din sehi apna-apna sa tha. Idhar aane ke baad meri life ki sari pareshaniya bhul chuki thi main. Aapke pyaar ka realisation hone ke baad, man mein ek dar sa tha ki agar aap meri feelings reciprocate nahi karte toh shayad fir ek baar anaatho ki jindagi jini pade muze!
Pr wo jo upar baithi hai na humari MAA, uski leela aparmpar hai! Jis ki iccha mein ab kar rahi thi, unhone toh unhe mere bhagya mein pehle sehi likh diya tha!" Ruhanika said chuckling. Tears flowed her eyes while the smile on her face never left while saying this looking into Abheer's eyes.
(You! Now every happiness is because of you. Never thought, that I will feel all these things again, to have a complete family. But since you met, there was no day like when I went to sleep without a smile.
Maybe I started loving you very early, but after Abhay I never thought to walk on that path again and hence couldn't name my feelings. And this family, it was like I'm part of it from the very first day. I had forgotten all my worries after coming here. After realising about my love, I was afraid that if you wouldn't reciprocate my feelings, then again I have to live like orphan.
But we have our MAA with us. She is the real player of destiny. The things I was wishing for myself now, she had written all them in my fate already. )
"Aapka bohot bohot dhanywad jo aapne muze apne pyaar ke layak samja.
Aur mene already kaha hai, pr firse aur ek baar kahungi!
Main aap se bohot bohot pyaar karti hoon Abheer ji!......" Abheer's heart skipped beats with her sudden confession.
"Ab jivan mein aur kuch bhi nahi chahiye sivay aapke sath ke!" She said making him smile with a little wet eyes.
(Thank you very much for thinking me deserving of your love.
And though I've said it already, I will say it again.
I love you very very much Abheer ji!!
Now I don't want anything in my life except for you!!)
He kissed her forehead making her close her eyes. He pulled out and said while looking into her eyes,
"Main bhi aapse bohot bohot pyaar karta hoon, meri jaan! Aur ab yeh Abheer Singh Rathore marte dam tak bas iss Ruhanika Abheer Singh Rathore ka hoga!!" Abheer said. A sob left from Ruhanika with his love confession!
(I love you so so much too, my heart. And now this Abheer Singh Rathore will be of Ruhanika Abheer Singh Rathore till the end of his days!!)
She held his face in her hands and pulled him down to kiss his forehead, then his both cheeks.
She said still holding his face,
"Yeh Ruhanika Abheer Singh Rathore bhi humesha keliye iss Abheer Singh Rathore ke rahegi!"
(This Ruhanika Abheer Singh Rathore will be of Abheer Singh Rathore too!)
They were so close that thier noses were touching and foreheads were joined. Thier breaths were fanning on each other's faces making them visibly shiver. Ruhanika saw Abheer's gaze falling on her soft plump lips. Their eyes met and Ruhanika saw the desire in his eyes.
She just blinked and closed her eyes giving him her permission. Abheer cupped her face and softly placed his lips on hers. They both were still for a moment letting themselves feel this euphoric moment of their first kiss!!
Abheer was the first one who started moving his lips first. Ruhanika followed his lead and kissed him back making him smile in the kiss. The kiss was not hasty but slow like they both were pouring all their emotions in it. Both of their eyes were closed and tears were flowing from eyes of Abheer coz of finally succeeding in making Ruhanika his for forever, and Ruhanika's coz of finally having that one man beside her for the rest of her life!!
They pulled after feeling short of breath and leaned on each other till they both calm down. Abheer was the first one to open his eyes. The sight in front of him was heart fluttering for him, Ruhanika was all red breathing heavily. He gently caressed her cheeks making her open her eyes. She smiled at him and kissed his palm leaning onto it. He pulled her in his arms for a hug. She kept her face in his neck and hugged back sighing contently.
A comfortable silence followed for moments. Their reverie of peace broke by someone moving into her sleep grabbing their both attention which was none other than Abhaya.
Abheer smiled at his princess and picked her in his arms.
"Well, Maa Kaali has blessed me with many beautiful girls in my life, but I would say my princess will be prettiest in them!" Abheer said keeping Abhaya in his lap and side-hugging Ruhanika.
"I agree!" Ruhanika smiled and kissed her small hand which was in a fist.
In the evening
Everyone was home today. The atmosphere in Rathore Mansion was happier than ever before.
They were in the backyard having their supper. That's when Abheer decided to break some news.
"Well, Rakshabandhan is nearing." He said.
"Yes, bhaisa. Di and I were talking about it in the afternoon. You all will be home right?" Aishu asked coz last year Abheer and Abhiraj were not in India due to some business meeting which made the younger clan a little sad.
"Yes, we will be here this time." Abhiraj said to which Abheer nod.
Aishu squealed and hugged Abhiraj making him pat her head.
"On that note, we will be having some guests too for Rakshabandhan celebration. He was Reyan's and my best friend from school. We met after years and his whole family is in Jaipur, so I'll be inviting them over!" Abheer said. His whole family shared a knowing look while elder ladies were having happy smiles on their faces to meet this particular someone. Ruhanika was confused at first but then shrugged thinking how she will know him anyways.

I'm sorry for this late update. Actually, right after exams my compulsory course started jo 2 se 8 baje tak hota hai. That's why, like the main part of my day is always occupied, which doesn't spare me time to write.
So, I guess next update 12th October ke baad hi hoga.

I'm planning that this book should complete by the end of the month, but no commitments! We cannot predict what happens next, plans can be changed! And I have not written the hindi translations of dialogues. So if anyone wants, ask me and I'll try my best to update as soon as possible.
