In the evening, Abheer received vedio call of excited Ruhanika.
"Abheer ji Abheer ji, you need to see this!" She said and turned selfie camera to normal.
What he saw made him really amuse.
"Our gudiya started rolling over Abheer ji." He heard excited voice of Ruhanika making him chuckle. She turned the camera to selfie again so that Abhaya can see him and settled herself beside her. Once he was in her view, she started babbling loudly and tapping her hands on mattress vigorously.
"Hey there princess! You started rolling over? That is so good." He said making her giggle.
"Was it her first time?" He asked Ruhanika.
"Yes. She was trying to roll over from last few days but finally today succeeded in doing that. So I immediately called you when I thought she would succeed this time. And I was right, she did roll over."
They saw when Abhaya got tired seeing up she put her face down on the mattress making the couple laugh.
"Is my princess tired? You did good for your very first time, hmm." He said making Ruhanika smile.
"Let me take her." She said and kept the phone on mattress. She picked Abhaya and settled herself in her arms. She then adjusted the phone and put it little away from Abhaya as screen is not good for her tender eyes. Abhaya too didn't go near to grab it as by now she has realised that when Abheer is small he is not going to pick her up.
Abhaya started clapping once she saw Abheer and babbled as if telling him about her day.
"Yeah baby, you deserve a clap." He said clapping followed by Ruhanika, which made her more excited. She squealed clapping making the couple laugh.
"Finally I'm going to see you both soon after 3 days. Did my princess miss me? Coz I miss her and her maasa alot!" He said making Ruhanika smile. He has became a lot vocal about his feelings in these days.
"Yes, babasa. Maasa and I miss you alot too. We will be waiting for you to come early." She replied in childish voice on Abhaya's behalf making him smile.
"How are you? I heard you were very busy in last few days. You didn't skip your meals right? And taking proper sleep?" She asked turning to side a little as she was opening her blouse to feed Abhaya when she started snuggling into her and yawned.
"Yeah. Just last minute work so that I can spend my whole time with my princess and you in Jaisalmer." He replied. Her concern towards him just like his mother always makes him fall in love with her all over again.
"Puja ho gayi? Ab kaha hai aap?" She asked patting Abhaya softly as she was dozing off now.
"Ji ha, puja achhe se ho gayi. Hum ab Jaipur palace mein hai. We all will be staying here for few days before coming to Jaisalmer." He told her.
(Is puja done? Where are you now?)
(Yes, it is done perfectly. We are now in Jaipur palace.)
"Maasi dadima agayi? You told her about us. What was her reaction?" She asked a little anxious.
"She arrived in afternoon. We told her about our engagement, about you and Abhaya. And she was really happy knowing about you. Don't be nervous. I know she will love you and Abhaya." He said assuring her.
She sighed in relief. They talked for sometime more and hung up. They both were really excited as finally they are going to meet after a month and getting engaged just after few days.
As planned, 3 days after they all departed for airport by noon. To Reyan's surprise, Sakshi was waiting for them at airport. It was decided by Meera that as Sakshi was also coming, she should go with them only. She was introduced to Saraswati as Ruhanika's bestie cum sister.
She greeted everyone and they all entered the plane. Elders decided to go to the 2nd living room, while younger clan was in 1st living room of jet. Saraswati decided to ditch the oldies and sat with Abheer, continuously questioning him about Ruhanika and Abhaya. The other 4 were sat together. So for Sakshi the only seat remaining was the single seat opposite to Reyan. She hesitantly sat in front of him. He glanced at her one time before again looking into his phone.
"Umm hii." She said slowly greeting him.
"Hello." He greeted her in monotone and again got himself busy in his work. Her mood was suddenly dampened by his ignorance. So she sat there quietly and put on headphones to listen music to calm her mind. She didn't herself understand why his ignorance hurt her so much.
Abheer and Saraswati were sitting just across them. Saraswati's sharp eyes observed their exchange and couldn't help but ask Abheer,
"What's with Reyan? Why is he so silent all of a sudden?" She asked whispering. Abheer looked towards Reyan and saw Sakshi sitting in front of him.
"Don't know. They both don't get along that much." He said shrugging.
"Haww! How can groom's and bride's bff don't get along! Such a shame!" She exclaimed dramatically making Abheer chuckle.
Reyan was feeling someone's constant gaze on himself. He looked up to see Sakshi engrossed in her phone. When he looked away, Sakshi heaved a shaky breath thanking god for not getting caught. While Reyan looked other way to only see Saraswati Devi looking at him with overly sweet smile. He smiled at her not knowing what she meant. She wiggled her brows eyeing between Sakshi and him making him widen his eyes. His neck turned a little red as he shook his head at her slightly. She nodded as if conveying 'Yeah! She is the one!' making him look at her with disbelief. He excused himself from there making her laugh out loud. Abheer looking at their exchange chuckled at his friend's misery!
Soon they reached Jaisalmer and Nikhil Karan Mahesh came to pick them all up. Karan was now all fine and back on his feet. They welcomed them with joined hands and hugs.
"Ghani khamma sa. Welcome!! Hope the journey was good." Nikhil said touching Adhiraj's, Gayatri's and Saraswati's feet followed by Mahesh and Karan also took blessings from the other 2 couples.
"It was good beta." Adhiraj said patting his back. Younger clan also greeted Nikhil and Mahesh making them smile.
"Let's go then. Shall we?" Mahesh said making them nod and all headed towards Rajput Mansion where they all will be staying for next few days.
The mansion stood tall and had modern touch than Rathore mansion.
They got off the cars and saw all family members except Ruhanika and Abhaya standing there. Nitya's brother and his family were also present. Everyone greeted each other with joined hand, hugs and big smiles.
"Ghani Khamma sa." Sushma greeted them.
"Khamma Ghani. How are you all?" Gayatri Devi greeted.
"We are all fine, kakisa. Hope so the journey was good." Nitya said making them nod.
"Let's go inside. Raju, Chandu bring their bags inside." She continued and they all moved inside. They were served with refreshments. Their all attention turned towards stairs only to see Ruhanika descending with Abhaya in her arms.
She went towards Rathores and hugged them enthusiastically making them all smile. They were happy to meet her after long. Abheer was mesmerized seeing her. He just wanted to have some alone moment with her right now.
"Aww humari gudiya kitni badi hi gayi! Lao humare paas do use." Adhiraj said taking Abhaya in her arms. The little baby giggled when he kissed her cheeks.
(Aww our gudiya has become so big! Give her to me.)
"Ruhi, this is my sister Saraswati Devi. And Saru this is our daughter & soon to be daughter-in-law Ruhanika." Gayatri Devi introduced. Ruhanika came forward and bowed down in front of her with joined hands knowing very well about Rathore's blessing ritual.
"Ghani Khamma dadima."
"Khamma Ghani beta. Sada khush raho." Saraswati said kissing her forehead. Ruhanika smiled at her love.
"Humare Abheer ki bindani toh bohot hi sundar hai jiji! Dono ki jodi khub jachegi!" She said making Ruhanika smile shyly.
(Our Abheer's bride is really beautiful jiji! Both will look so good together!)
"Aur humari parpoti toh dijiye hume jijasa." She said taking Abhaya in her arms. The baby instantly gelled up with her melting her heart like a puddle.
(And give my great granddaughter to me too jijasa.)
"Aww. Yeh gudiya toh ekdam nanhi pari hai! Ise dekh kar toh humari chhoti Adu ki yaad agayi hume." Saraswati cooed swaying Abhaya making her giggle.
(Aww. This doll is just like a little angel! I remembered our little Adu seeing her.)
"You all must be tired. Let us show your rooms." Janaki said and everyone got up and followed them to room to get freshen up. There are many guest rooms in the house. So Rathore family and Nitya's brother's family can live with them in the mansion itself. Somedays after Abheer's mama's family and Abhiraj's masi's family will be coming. So they will staying in Rajput's guest house near the mansion. Other relatives' and business guest's accommodation is done in both Rathore's and Rajput's hotels.
Knowing about Abheer's will, Meera said,
"Ruhi, you go and show Abheer his room." Meera said making her nod timidly. Elders smiled when Abheer silently followed Ruhanika and younger one's giggled.
Ruhanika entered the room followed by Abheer. And in next moment she was in Abheer's embrace. She too immediately wrapped her arms around him bathing herself with his warmth. He nuzzled his face in her neck making her shiver with his act.
"I missed you so much!" She said making him smile.
"This month was like hell without you around me. I didn't even realise that I got so used to your presence until you were not with me." She said pulling out with a smile. Abheer too smiled and kissed her forehead lovingly. She leaned onto him closing her eyes.
Hell she missed his soft gestures so much!
She opened her eyes when he pulled out. She got on her toes and kissed his cheeks making him chuckle.
"I love you so much Jaan! You are the only medicine to my chaotic life." He said making her smile. They both spend their whole afternoon together after lunch. Abheer did not give Abhaya to anyone with a logic that they spend time with her before lunch and now her whole day would be for him only. Well, Abhaya being dada's princess anyways does not go to anyone when she is with Abheer. So arguement with Abheer for Abhaya was fruitless.
They planned on not visiting any places in Jaisalmer as people knowing hukum Abheer and Rathore family being in Jaisalmer would be a little chaotic for their engagement. Anyways the engagement is just after 3 days so they will busy with engagement preparations to even get time to explore Jaisalmer.
The next day couple decided to go to engagement shopping of clothes and rings.
The next day only the 3, Abheer, Ruhanika and Abhaya went for shopping woth their guards. They entered a beautiful building of 'DA Boutique'! The interior was beautiful and Ruhanika was mesmerized. There were no one except them. Ruhanika guessed Abheer must have booked the whole place for them as he does not want to anyone to know him being in Jaisalmer.
The manager came along with his assistant when he spoted them entering. He bowed with joined hands,
"Ghani Khamma hukumsa. Welcome to DA's boutique! Please come inside." He said showing them way to the couch.
Abheer just nodded while Ruhanika reciprocated smiling with a Khamma Ghani. He was holding Abhaya who was silently looking around the lights in the boutique with her doe eyes keeping her chin on Abheer's shoulder. The staff who was standing aside, was amused seeing their hukum with a baby. They were informed in advance that hukum sa would be coming for his engagement shopping. And they knew if this is done without any prior news, hukum sa must want their wedding to be a private affair. They respected his choice by not telling this to anyone but still Abheer being with a baby shocked them.
"Please have a seat. Mam is on the way here." He said while one of the staff gave them water.
"Who is coming? Is she the owner?" Ruhanika asked confused sipping the water.
"You'll know." He said shrugging making her huff. He has got this habit to surprise her everytime.
Soon she heard a squeal gaining her attention. She looked shocked and happy to see the person. She got up and in instant the person hugged her.
"Diva!? What a pleasant surprise!" She exclaimed pulling out with a happy smile. "I'm so happy that you are here." Ruhanika said making her giggle.
Well, she is Diva Agnihotri, Jaiveer's bhabhisa and DA's Boutique's sole owner!
"Well that should be my line. You are getting engaged. I'm so happy for you and bhaisa!" She said excited looking in between them both. Abheer nodded at her when she smiled at him.
"Diva, slowly darling. You should not run in this state!" Kiaan said entering behind her with her purse and mobile. Diva rolled her eyes at her overprotective husband and didn't pay any attention to his comment.
While Ruhanika got curious hearing him.
"What do you mean Kiaan bhaisa?" She asked. Diva smiled cutely at her before replying.
"Well Abhaya might get a playmate soon." Abheer frowned at her statement but Ruhanika widen her eyes in disbelief.
"No you're not!" She exclaimed.
"Yes I am!" Diva said smiling.
"Really?!" She asked again making Diva nod. They both squealed hugging each other swaying side-to-side. Kiaan smiled looking at them while Abheer didn't get a thing what is going on. Same with Abhaya!
"What happened?" Abheer asked shaking hands with Kiaan.
"We are going to be parents soon. Diva is pregnant!" He said with a small smile making Abheer genuinely happy and hug him.
"Congratulations man! Welcome to dad's club!" He said the last part pulling out making Kiaan chuckle.
"Congratulations Diva."
"Congratulations bhaisa." Abheer-Ruhanika congratulated them both.
"Thank you so much." Kiaan-Diva said in unison.
"Hey baby. Come to kakisa." Diva said taking Abhaya from Abheer's arms. Unlike last time, she didn't cry in her arms.
"Which month?" "2nd."
"I didn't know this was your boutique."
"I have told you before, Ruhi."
"The name might have slipped from my mind." The ladies walked ahead talking leaving men behind.
"Ladies and their unlimited talks!" Kiaan exclaimed sighing. Abheer chuckled.
"Let's get going." Abheer said following behind them.
The shop was filled with full of their laughter and lots of chats. There agreement-disagreements while selecting clothes. Diva has brought best designs which she has herself designed, due to which it was making Ruhanika confuse on what to choose.
They tried on many clothes. For Ruhanika's sake Abheer was wearing everything she was telling him to. While Kiaan was taking care of Abhaya and playing with her. She got along with him very well. He kept Diva sitting beside him time-to-time so that she didn't tire herself. After final dress trial they all sat and were discussing which dress should be selected. She had made Abheer's clothes that goes well with Ruhanika's. So by selecting hers Abheer's will get finalised too.
Men after sometime left the room along with staff as Ruhanika had to feed Abhaya. Due to this, the staff was very much sure that the child was their hukumsa's kid!
They finally selected the dress and were relieved and satisfied with the result.
"My god! We took so much time just for one engagement dress. I can't even imagine how much time we will need for other functions' shopping." Ruhanika exclaimed patting Abhaya's back to burp her.
"You don't worry about that. I now have idea about your style. So I'll select some designs according to your liking and then show you the selected pieces. So that it will be easy for you to choose." She said sipping on her juice which Kiaan brought. Ruhanika smiled at her response.
Abheer and Kiaan entered on cue discussing about something to see almost everything was done and some people were packing the clothes.
"Are you done Ruh?" Abheer asked taking Abhaya from her lap.
"Yeah, we are." She said making Diva nod.
"Shall we go to lunch then? It's already past lunch time." Abheer said patting Abhaya's back who was almost dozed off. They agreed and went to lunch to one of their restaurants. After that they went to the ring shopping. It was almost evening when they returned home.
Agnihotri's were also present there. They have come 2 days earlier in Jaisalmer due to Diva being excited to Ruhanika's engagement and her being Ruhanika's designer. Abheer's mama's and Abhiraj's maasi's families also joined them when they reached in evening. The 6 family had dinner together which was full of chaos due to so many people and yet so fun.
Come on, wedding homes have to be full with people!
All of the younger people slept in living room on mattresses that night as they wanted to have movie night. The elders of the other 3 families were given their rooms for the night as it was already late. The day ended with too much fun for younger clan and excited Diva, of course!
Finally the day had come!
Abheer-Ruhanika's engagement day! Whole mansion was bustling with people in the early morning. The day was spent in getting things to the engagement venue. By 4 everyone was in the venue to get ready there itself. The first thing women did was to start getting ready. Men first inspected everthing before getting ready.
The venue was so beautiful! Rajput's have done a splendid work for their daughter's engagement!
"You've done a spectacular work Nikhil. The venue is amazing." Vikram said looking amusingly at the view in front of him. Adhiraj and Vikrant had to agree to the same.
Nikhil and Mahesh were glad that Rathores like it.
"Thank you Vikram. Mahesh, Karan and Arjun have been of a great help. It would've been impossible to do so without them!" Nikhil said smiling. Rathores appreciated them for their work.
"Kakasa had set a high standard for wedding babasa. Now it's our responsibility to make them amuse with our work just the way they did now." Ayaan commented playfully making them laugh.
Soon by 7 guest started arriving. Men were busy with welcoming guests. The ladies were done by now and joined men in greeting the people. I'm telling you guys both families looked really amazing!
The venue was bustling. There were so many people. The folk music was playing in the background. The combination of modern look of venue and the traditional music was on next level. Guests were really enjoying themselves till engagement starts. Not to tell, the food was dream for them. That many items were there!
Abheer had not arrived yet. Ruhanika and he will enter the venue together. Like good babies, Abhaya and Hridhaan were not troubling their mummas today. Aditi, Aishu, Sakshi, Abheer's cousin and Ruhanika's cousin were taking care of them till their mothers are busy.
Ruhanika was finally done with her makeup. She looked at herself first in the mirror and a beautiful smile appeared on her face.
"You are looking really beautiful Ranisa!" The makeup artists said.
"The credit totally goes to you dear. You did amazing job on my face. Thank you so much." Ruhanika said making the girl smile.
"Thank you for appreciation Ranisa. But you yourself are so beautiful that I didn't even need to do half of the things I usually do on my brides and still you look so beautiful! Congratulations on your engagement." The artist said.
"Thank you. Please stay for the engagement. I'll be more glad." Ruhanika said making her nod. She moved out of the room leaving Ruhanika alone. She sat on the bed taking a deep breath. She was having this nerve wrecking feeling any bride to be would have. Her attention turned to door when she heard a clicking sound.
She saw Nitya, Arohi, Karan, Arjun and Sushma entering with Abhaya and Hridhaan.
"Aww my laado! You look so pretty!" Nitya said taking her in a hug with one hand.
"Thanks maa." Ruhanika smiled cutely.
"And who is this pretty baby? Is it my princess, huh?" She cooed taking Abhaya in her arms. Abhaya giggled at her voice making her smile.
"And you young man! You look more dashing than your babasa!" Ruhanika said tickling Hridhaan's belly making him laugh. Karan chuckled at her comment along with others.
"Nazar na lage kisi ki laado." Sushma said putting a kajal dot behind her ear.
"You look amazing Ruha!" Arohi said softly to which Karan and Arjun agreed hugging her.
"My baby sister has grown up so much!" Karan said with a teary smile side-hugging Ruhanika. She started getting emotional along with Arjun, her mother and grandmother. Arohi knowing that Ruhanika would cry if Karan said something, commented,
"Ohh please. Save the tears for her vidai Karan. You will spoil her makeup by making her cry." Arohi said wiping her own moist eyes.
Karan chuckled at her comment and nodded saying,
"Yeah. Then Ruha will look like a zombie with kajal cascading down her eyes." Ruhanika whined at her comment making others laugh.
"Come on. Jawaisa will be coming here in sometime. You feed Abhaya one time before going so that she will be full for some hours." Nitya said making her nod.
Others left while Arohi and Hridhaan stayed with Ruhanika. They both fed their children so that they won't cling onto them or get fussy with others during the ceremony.
"I'll be going now. Would you both be coming with Abhaya?" Arohi asked fixing her outfit.
"I'll have to ask Abheer ji." Ruhanika replied burping Abhaya. On the cue, they both heard a knock on the door. Abheer entered the room only to get mesmerized by Ruhanika.
"I'll get going." Arohi said and went after nodding at Abheer.
He came towards her and took Abhaya in his arms.
"My princess is looking like an angel today...." He kissed Abhaya's cheeks making the baby giggle.
"....and her maasa too!" He said eyeing Ruhanika making her blush. She stood and Abheer kissed her forehead and knuckles lovingly making her smile shyly.
"Abhaya's baba is looking more handsome too." She complimented fidgeting with her fingers. Abheer chuckled at her shy look.
"Princess is coming with us too." Abheer said making her smile.
"Shall we go now? You ready?" He asked forwarding his hand with a smile. She looked at his hand first and then at his face. All the moments she spent with him till now flashed in her mind. The nervousness from before faded just by his mere presence! And it was enough sign for her to know that her decision is right!
She smiled and put her hand in his.
"More than I'll ever be!" She said softly and kissed on his cheek.
He took her in a side-hug as they both left the room. Ruhanika remembered Abhay and thanked him for the beautiful days she spent with him before starting new journey of her life!
